I saw CeCe on American Idol and I haven't watched it for a decade. It was a massive blessing that God led me to watch. I have been playing "Goodness of God" since then and singing it and listening to her new album. My whole attitude has changed. I am 52 and have a 12-year-old child that I recently started homeschooling for the obvious reasons of what has been happening in the school districts around the country. We are loving homeschooling but I have had a weight of responsibility on me and it's been challenging hearing from God. This has a lifted my Spirit and assured me that I made the right choice and my child has started to really get involved in our Bible readings and asking questions. As a child, I sang in the choir at church and I had stopped singing and listening. CeCe is correct. Music that praises God is essential. Thank you for truly being an example of a woman of God in your dress, your sweet and kind Spirit and your strength. Many blessings.

CeCe Winans: Seeing how God carried my parents through losing a child, yes, I saw the tears, but they never went into a deep depression. But he understood the power of praise, so when I'm going through a rough time, a challenging time, I know even if I'm crying, I cry with my hands lifted up, and it gives me the strength because worship always puts your focus on the greatness of God. And even when life hits us-and it hits us all really hard-I know to cry out to Him. Thank you for your wonderful message. It really touched me, especially since I lost my child too. Your words of strength and hope remind me of the power of praise and the importance of focusing on God's greatness. Your testimony is a source of comfort.

My favorite CD's are Shiela's. I loved The Women of Faith. In the 90's my Christian fellowship was the best. Now that I am 77, a lot of my friends are gone. We had a whole row of older single women of which I was the youngest. Most are in heaven and I miss them. They were precious years of learning, faith and friendship.
