He created the heavens without pillars that you see, and He placed stabilizers on earth lest it shakes with you, and He scattered throughout it every kind of creature. And We sent down water from the sky, and We caused every noble pair to grow therein. This is Allah’s creation. Now show me what those besides Him created. In fact, the unjust are clearly lost. Qur’an 31:10-11

I think it is hard not to see a creative force at work when stood under the dancing lights, whatever your beliefs or religion. I don't know of anyone who's witnessed this spectacle and wasn't moved.

I have a big dream......... I would really like to be there❤
@scubaachimАй бұрын
Make it happen! If you have that dream and can not only see yourself being there, but also feel yourself being there, you will program your unconscious to make it happen, no matter who and where you are at the moment. It's a magical place. Sending you all my best wishes to make it happen.

very nice. you should try 60fps
@scubaachim2 ай бұрын
60fps looks great (here's another timelapse I did in 60fps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXanYoZoo6qef8U), but it wasn't an option for this video. My drone is quite old and only capable of 30fps, the timelapse is made of 000's of stills. Given the amount of stills I've shot, going to 60fps would produce very short clips, if I slow them down in post, then you're back to 30fps. The aurora is moving quite fast so I would have to switch to video rather than timelapse for 60fps, which wouldn't give you the same quality. It's a trade off.

Sehr schönes Video , toll die Orte wieder zu sehen, an denen ich im Januar 2024 war. Die Aurora war bei mir leider nicht so intensiv, aber dafür hat das Licht der tief stehenden Sonne tagsüber entschädigt.
@scubaachim3 ай бұрын
Danke.

Great! What lenses did you use for the wide angle aurora shots?
@scubaachim3 ай бұрын
The Samyang 12mm F2, Fuji 14mm F2.8 and the Fuji kit lens 18-55 F2.8, all used wide open.
@andreabuser113 ай бұрын
@@scubaachim Thank you! I also use the Samyang 12 mm with my fuji camera but I seem to have problems to get really sharp pictures.
@scubaachim3 ай бұрын
@@andreabuser11 Focusing at night time is tricky, particularly because on most lenses the infinity focus marks are rather inaccurate. Best to try during the day and remember where the sweet spot is. There is always a (normally very remote) chance that your particular lens is faulty.

Vielen Dank. Wir waren von dem Wetter auch überrascht, hatten ursprünglich eine Übernachtung in der Lamsenjochhütte geplant, doch die hatten wegen starkem Schneefall gleich ein paar Tage früher dicht gemacht fürs Jahr. Richtiges Alpinwetter halt = unberechenbar.

@scubaachim9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this Katrina. Most footage was taken on a day hike from Bukit Lawang, only the long distance shot that's a bit shaky was taken from the river in Ketambe. These were truly wild Orang Utans.
