This is by far the best detailing video I've see. Not only so satisfying to watch, but the quality of your work is insane! The quality of this detail makes the car look so nice, I can't put it into words. Incredible!

Good to see you back with a great but very hard job. Hope your back is holding up. Interesting hearing about the wheel problem... we bought a new Fiesta ST last year and I very quickly noticed a slight tackiness to one alloy. I had the car booked in for detail and coatings and asked the chap to take a look as I couldn't shift it. He used his usual products and it exposed the exact same problem. Obviously damaged in transit and not declared. After a lot of complaining, eventually got a new wheel. Keep up the great work Jim.

Amazing job. If it was my car I would have had the wheels painted a matte gold to compliment the stunning green paint.

Vinyl feels like vinyl and not silky smooth like paint. I would never wrap any of my cars.

Hi there just my personal opinion but i find the ppf application videos boring. Ppf in my opinion as a spray painter is a waste of time. Protects the paint yes but the vinyl degrades, looks bad and then you can't get it off .

I’ve been using wet steam and compressed air afterwards to clean my bikes for a few years now…. Gets into all the tight areas and blasts away debris and bugs easily .

Awesome work and great in sight into what goes to making an incredible detail. Thank you for being so honest about the wheels, I had a similar issue with a customers badges on a Range Rover Evoke. Honestly the best policy, customers just like to be informed and usually are fine when things don’t go fully to plan. 🫶🏻

Nothing better than coming home from work and watching this right now. The amount of detail that you put into the videos and working on the cars is second to none, hands down best KZbin detailer there is 👑

I have to say non of your videos are boring far from it ( even when you are cleaning glass ). Who would have thought that watching a guy clean a car would be good ‘tv’ but it so is. 😀 🚗
@thomassrensen942315 күн бұрын
Question - when you and other detailers pressure wash a car you always start from the bottom. Why? Isn’t it more logical to start from the roof so the dirt can run off…? P.S. I am a huge fan!
@lifeslooker15 күн бұрын
Beautiful car - I don't think the wheels/ rims do the car justice - could have been better alloys added since if you're gonna spend that much on a car, then get a decent set of rims...just my view on it. Great finish. Hope they managed to get some decent refurb people in Glasgow to sort the issue out. As always, a pleasure to watch and learn.

Don’t let the car rest on the jack. It will fall, especially given the hitting you had to to the wheels. Use jack stands, the jack is highly likely to roll and drop the car

Someone recently commented on another one of Jim's videos. He asked why Jim never seems happy. This video is a perfect example of the amount of headaches and land mines that running a detail shop (especially a high end shop) can produce. Jim spends a week, likely 55-70 hours, quite literally wrestling with his client's cars. Working in isolation. Laser focused on his tasks. Being in his own head. This happens often in the detailing industry. A detailer notices damage on a car and then proactively shares the information with the client. The client, either never having seen the damage (or claiming they've never seen the damage), are quick to blame the detailer as a way to have someone (other than themselves) be responsible for the repair. This is a real powder keg scenario. Which I'm sure Jim has been through. And thus, was proactive in simply eating the financial burden of the damage himself rather than debating with his client on who was at fault. Because Jim knows where this path leads. Even though he used a chemical and a process that has been proven safe time and again on OEM surfaces that haven't been repaired by outside businesses. My guess is that the cost of the refurb was a significant bite out of his profit on this Mercedes job. Gutting indeed. When you're sore and in some physical discomfort (often pain) from working that client's car all that week. Love watching these videos, Jim. You inspire for sure.

A scenario that plays out in many other industries as well. Ultimately it’s caused by clients who are distrusting of the professionals they’ve chosen to do work for them. Given the amount of cowboys around, it’s understandable, but it’s also disappointing that clients don’t trust the original decision they made to pick said professional in the first place.
