Great review! I'm a little puzzled that you say that it's not so good for blocks, as I think it's the rubber Koki Niwa is using, and he is really good a that. I'm a newbie. Can you explain this?

Hi Tom, thanks for this quality review as usual. For questions in the comment section, I can share my choices of rubber and blade for a reference (I'm a intermediate level non-pro player in China): blade: Donic Xtreme (A very sensitive and easy to control blade, also very supportive for speed and spin) backhand: Joola Rhyzen ZGR max (Generating greater speed and spin than Rhyzen CMD, which I previously used) forehand: Joola Dynaryz AGR max (SPEED and POWER!!! The rubber itself seems a bit hard to control, but I find it fits very well with the character of my blade, so it's no problem)

Is it similiar to dignics 05?
@TableTennisEquipmentReviews
@TableTennisEquipmentReviews Ай бұрын
I'm not sure. I've not actually used Dignics 05, so can't make an exact comparison. But from what I have read about Dignics 05, the rubber is harder than Dynaryz Inferno. Dynaryz Inferno has a little softness to it. And whilst the topsheet grips the ball well, it's not tacky.

Some believe the blade is most influential when evaluating the "system", you didn't mention what blades you mounted the rubbers on. Why?

Hi, first nice review with good info. I am allround player and looking for bh rubber (should be not to fast, for pushes and sometimes also for topspin against underspin). If you know, can you pls compare Rhyzen ICE with Rhyzen CMD - mainly in speed, arc, spin and grip. Any other info would also be great. Best regards

Do you know of any good resources for theorizing backhand rubbers on a Avalox P500? I love the chinese style of play with powerful and long stroke spins on forehand, but I have a hard time finding the right type of backhand rubber for this style of play with a flexible and hard blade (koto outer layers creating bounce instead of the rubber creating bounce). I am looking for rubbers that dont have an excessive amount of bounce, but that is able to grip the ball at high speeds and add gears to the impact through the flex and bouncyness of the blade itself, all the while fascilitating the ability to generate spin in short strokes, like how the backhand stroke is.

What do you think about the new Dynaryz inferno? Would it be a good rubber for the backhand?
@blueheart9873
@blueheart9873 2 ай бұрын
I have not tried the Inferno yet but I tried the Agr and Acc. The Inferno also has a hard sponge but a softer topsheet so it should be better for brushing strokes. I tend to have a brushy stroke so I did not like either of the Dynaryz rubbers. Mind you that they are VERY bouncy

I wash mine with water. make sure the water doesnt touch the sponge on the blade. use 2 - 3 fingers while rinsing. you can feel when it gets grippy/tacky again. dry it on cloth without hairs and other particles. put protective sheet. put in bag. keep in room temp place. its ready for next time. I do this with ESN and chinese rubbers. works just fine. no need to buy cleaners. Water works same or better.

I cant really make sense of this. Not recommending water but say that you can use the condensation of your breath makes no sense. The condensation of your breath is water. Also, if the cleaners are safe because they are solvent free then water is also safe because its solvent free. If you are worried about contaminants in the water then distilled water is super cheap.

Cleaning with water for long time, xiom rubbers lasts long time. I think cleaners are important for sticky chineese rubbers and also to use with protective sheets.

@@dzintarsdandens2292yes. For hurricane III rubbers, don't use water. It will damage it. Use butterfly cleaner or the cleaners that add grip to it. For European rubbers you can use water to clean it at a minimum.
@kerrin6633
@kerrin6633 2 ай бұрын
You're right. I've always wondered why. I suppose bc condensation evaporates extremely quickly so it won't water log the rubber to any extent. Cleaning particularly with water and a sponge is also better than 'washing' the rubber. I hope ppl don't do that too much though bc the amount of water used would be uncontrollable. I personally find it gross when ppl use the hands and breath bc it's oily and dusty...even professionals do this though, so yeah...

@@kerrin6633 Can you help give some information on why and where you got this information? Both me and my son runs h3 rubbers on both sides and so this is quite relevant to me. I keep hearing conflicting information about cleaners vs water and everyone seems so certain of their claims. Nobody has provided me with a scientific explanation or backed up claims with measurements. I suspect that part of the discrepancies comes from differences in water quality and differences in cleaner contents.
@johanekekrantz7325

@@kerrin6633 I dont know if excessive amounts of water is bad for the rubber, but its clearly bad for the blade and should probably be avoided for that reason alone. Looking under the thumb placement its also pretty clear that the oil on your hands is bad for the rubber. Its unclear to me if leaving a small amount of oil/fat on the rubber, sometimes using a little mild soap or using a cleaner is better. I personally wash my hands a bit before i clean the rubbers and then use as little water as possible before wiping the water and dust of with a soft sponge. Would be nice to know for sure if there was a better way to do it.

Great Suggestion, thank you!❤ I have a question that I've been asking myself for a long time that I would make if possible to Matt, if I have cleaned my bat and put away after have used the rubbers of this bat for only 10h in a month, and than I stopped playing for 4 years, how much I should consider my rubbers are aged? I should still consider are only 10 hours used? also I should benefit from regluing them to the blade? if yes I should remove the old glue or I can put a new layer of glue on the old one? Thank You Again🙏🏻

Hi! I'm also 64 :) from Lima, Perú. I've tried both. I find R42 too soft, even for backhand. R48 is a nice rubber but I think R47 is still a better forehand rubber. I'm using Dignics 05 on forehand.
