Read live data, check the fuel pressure in the rail pipe! Watch two values: there is an expected value and there is a measured value! If the measured value is far below the expected value, then the high-pressure pump is probably at fault! The pump is on the right side of the cylinder head, it is easy to replace. Pay attention to cleanliness during assembly, because the pump is very sensitive to dirt! ;-)

Bijzonder verhaal hoor. Je moet maar durven en heel veel zelfvertrouwen hebben om aan zoiets te beginnen. Waar begin je in godsnaam he, alles is vol problemen/achterstalig onderhoud/smerig/stinkt/vies en ongekeurd... niet gauw een investering die het waard is zou je zeggen. Waar woon je ongeveer? :) Ik heb ook een 1.6THP (208GTi) vanaf nieuw, inmiddels alweer bijna 11 jaar. Heeft ook al wel een aantal probleempjes gehad op het gebied van koelvloeistof en olielekkage en bobines, laatste was olielekkage bij de kettingspanner, maar nog niet op het gebied van interne vervuiling achtige dingen. Die zijn er volgens mij sowieso veel minder of niet meer met de 200pk+ (of na pakembeet 2013) exemplaren van die motor. Het is voor een niet technisch persoon als ik altijd vervelend als er weer een probleem de kop op steekt en heb vaker gedacht moet ik hem niet verkopen en een Toyotaatje kopen. Maar opzich valt het nog alles mee hoor, zeg ik nu (knock on wood), en is het natuurlijk een leuk praktisch niet te duur ding die je weinig ziet. De 207 ook leuk met die vette stoelen en tamelijk dikke motor. Heb vele jaren terug eens een proefritje gedaan met een 207RC, maar was niet helemaal overtuigd destijds, banden waren ook mega gecupt waardoor enorme herrie/pulserende galm in de auto. Succes ermee in ieder geval!

hi! im from spain and i have a 207gt facelift wiht the 1.6thp 156cv. The engine have an issue with cilynder 1. It fails some times and throw the check engine light, with a diagnosis it only sais cilynder 1 failure not any information at all. I changed the spark plugs 2 months ago and now replaced the coils but still missfiring. Lookin around the engine bay i noticed that the coolant was black like it has oil in it but only turns black when you have the engine functioning for a long time also the oil cap is turning a white color like mayonnaise. My thoughts are that the head gasket blew up but the engine dont missfire all the time so that confuse me. I´ve planned a swap for the 1.6thp of the 308gti 2 phase II or buying the same engine to forge but if this engine is salvageable id like to repair it at least to can move the car the weekend. if you have some idea of what is happenind it would help me a lot. Thanks and new subscriber to keep learning about this engine

does the 1.6 thp engine use a normally open wastegate..that is when the boost has reached the proper pressure..then the actuator will start to close the wastegate?..if true..then what is the pressure reading and rpm that the actuator should close the wastegate?..

I have build a 1.6 THP 208 HP on my channel. I want new rims, 19' inch and with my car peugeot 5008 2011 you have tires 235-40-19 and with 18' you have 45 tire, bud this cars you let show have 35 tire thats a shame than thej must have 18' or by a audi wttf

Hi, I want to do the same on my 1.6 THP. Have you disconnected the fuses from the fuel pump and ignition device before starting the engine without spark plugs? Would that be a good idea or it is not necessary? thanks

So I saw much oil on the pipe from the engine cover to the air intake. That should be the crankshaftcase ventilation. Is it correct, the PCV is failing and oil now goes in there? Also, is the PCV integrated in the rocker cover and to fix it, I can either change the whole rocker cover or do this PCV-delete with an oil catch can? I have a DS3 racing thp 207 from 2014.
