My friend just got a 69 camero and from my knowledge the firebird and the camero have a lot of thing in common like the gas tank etc. We are about to drop the tank in a couple days and I was why you didn't pull the line that goes to the engine or if you just did that off camera
@ArrowheadGarageКүн бұрын
I didn't replace the fuel line to the motor, just flushed it out with some gas and compressed air. But if you line is really rusted, might wan to to just replace it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

The fenders looking good, body line as well. Nice tip on the purple paint gun. This is my opinion on the paint. I personally would not go cheaper on the paint, I would go with the color that your bother intended. You can’t put a price on that. That’s only my opinion. Stay cool brother. 👍

I think you should try to match the color on the car as close as possible. Some oreilly’s can color match from an example. Either way you go will be a good tribute to your brother.

@@ArrowheadGarage I’ve never used it, I saw it on Puddin’s fab shop channel. I think it was his local Oreilly’s that did a paint match for him. I’ll have to go back and watch it again..

For some of the comments who are quick to go to the shop and replace or repair , Please such DIY are for people who find themselves off grid , imagine you are in Alaska or some very rural African place , this can really help. And again some people even if they may be located in big cities they still don’t have money to replace a battery .

Bro, you pulled that hubcap off and say “so typical”, how often does this happen to you.. if it’s a lot, maybe you need to check your torque specs or find some better studs.. broken studs shouldn’t be “typical”. Good video, but that should not be happening often enough to be considered typical.. IMO.

Wheel studs are broken after you worked on it and you're using an impact rather than a torque wrench?

I've had two of these, same model for four years now. I had to replace one of the pumps. It will fail if you run it when the water level gets too low. Lesson learned. The other one has never had a pump failure. I run these all day long in the summer here in Fresno, Ca, for about 5-6 months. It gets up to 114 degrees here at the hottest temps. I keep it a few feet away from me on the hottest days. My ac broke, and I don't want to replace it, as we have the highest utility rates in the country (PG&E). I have a smaller one that I place on a stand at the foot of the bed, as the tank will work for 8-9 hours on low. These have saved my electric bill. Sure, I'd rather have ac, but people here are charged hundreds each month just to run their ac. However, it is a pain to change the filters on these and to clean out the front and side vents. Those should have been designed to be easily removed. All in all, I love this cooler.

There are no words to express my gratitude for this video regarding the transmission and adding transmission fluid...my stepvan is a 1974 Chevrolet P30...after having it parked for more than 14 years, I tried to move it and it did nothing ..neither forward nor backward, I checked the transmission oil level and apparently it seemed to have enough oil...well I did what you said...I warmed up the engine...I added 2 quarts of oil and it made me very happy By seeing how the wheels moved, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I saved $1,200, which was what they would have charged me in Miami to rebuild the transmission...thank you...thank you.

Thanks for mentioning the radiator fans. My 2004 seems to be suffering from loose foam blocking the flaps down below, which has been blowing out in chunks for a while. I will run the air on high for several hours, see if I can get it to come out the vents and allow the flaps to open.
