This terrarium looks epic!!! It seems the path has gotten a little more covered up by some rocks and a bit of substrate, and i personally like it better that way, its more blended in, looks great!

I am a fan from Egypt. You made things very easy for me. I have a question. Can plant roots grow inside the foam? How can they penetrate the foam to grow and expand?

I kept and bred fish for years, but as I age and now don't have the space, energy, or time for another 125 main display with breeders everywhere and so on, not to mention I was having fish faster than I could get rid of them, I'm excited to try a small starter terrarium. I have a 2 gallon "cookie jar", the drainage layer, the barrier, and a commercial potting soil mixed with a zilla bedding product for substrate. I'm going out locally to a forest for moss, leaf litter, local rocks and twigs, and a bit of "dirt" to add to the substrate. What I've not found at local pet stores or aquarium shops is a springtail or isopod culture. Will the local dirt and leaf litter provide those critters ? If it works out, I would ultimately like to add a dart frog or tree frog or maybe two. As with aquariums, I know it needs to cycle and settle before making those types of additions. Really enjoying these videos as I never considered something this small and potentially so diverse in the aquarium hobby with filters, sumps, pumps, 50 gallon water changes, testing water parameters, etc, etc. Thank You.

I always like the tutorial. Just want to know what is the main difference between coconut fibre and coconut coir? I purchased locally from store, what I received looks more like fibre strand even though the supplier package called that coir.
