I have used your steps for making a terrarium (drainage layer, barrier, substrate) to plant what I believe to be a Desmodium Triflorum exemplary, on a small plastic pot (until I get a proper one for it). It not only is going strong for the 3rd week, it's sprounting new leaves and looking beautiful! Thank you a lot for your instrunctions!

I enjoy your videos and have spent this weekend making a vivarium for some geckos we're getting soon (using lots of tips from your vids) Whilst we're waiting for the plants to grow in, do you have any tips for temporary lighting? I'm yet to order the reptile light and heater, so just wondered will a normal led light strip work for the plants for now? Great video and terrarium as always!
@TerrariumDesigns7 ай бұрын
That’s gonna be some lucky gecko’s! Yes normal LED lights is what I use to grow plants & they work great😃

@@TerrariumDesigns ooh great thank you 😊 the tank looks ok so far, I've got my fingers crossed it doesn't have any issues. One of the branches that had a nice shape to it when it was dry has gone a bit straight now, which I'm guessing is due to the humidity. Thanks for the lighting tip!

i added springtails to my terrarium but i think they all died 😓 i just don't know why and im nervous because im trying to do bioactive because ive had a mold problem before and i dont want my geckos getting sick. i have two fairly large terrariums (18x18x24) so im wondering if i either didnt add enough springtails or they all died somehow, is it possible they drowned? but my terrarium doesn't look waterlogged because i have a drainage layer so i guess im not sure what to do and i was hoping for some advice?

can i use inox (stainless steel/rust free metal) mesh instead of window screen mesh? i have this at work and it would not be a problem for me to use a piece

I’ve never used it, but if it’s stainless steel then I don’t see why not. It’s certainly worth a go at least:)
