The biggest complaint I see on reviews is the food. Is it true you have to pay extra for "real" meals?

The food is average at this hotel. The only thing i could think of you would have to pay extra for would be lobster. For the price of this hotel it a great deal. If you want better food there are better hotels for sure, but you will pay for it.

Like this location but it can't compare to Hollywood Beach Florida and fort Lauderdale Las olas boulevard, Miami Beach, Hallandale Beach Florida, haulover Beach Florida, I had a better time than this place.❤🙌🏻

Just returned from the resort and had a fantastic time. The buffet was a bit limited and not to my taste, but all the restaurants were excellent. The only downside was the hour-long journey from the airport.

Really close to booking this hotel. One of the things I want to see in Mexico is native iguanas. I heard that in a lot of resorts in Mexico have iguanas just walking around. Is this so with this hotel?

it only about a 3-4min swim. Around 150ft from shore, and it only about 10-15ft deep. You snorkel it if you wanted.

Been there many times. As a yooper we love and support this family almost every year. Always enjoyable. Deyoung family zoo is a beautiful and educational stop for all in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I would give the food 5. I always found something I liked, but there’s definitely better hotels are better food, but this is a great family hotel and you can’t beat the price.

It a family hotel with lots of kids, and jungle all around the pools, so I could see at times that being a problem. But not when I was there.

Great video. What’s the difference between the regular rooms and club level? Also, how busy is the hotel? Like it’s the kind of place we’re fighting for lounge chairs by the pool? Initially, we thought about staying at the st Regis or Waldorf but not sure they are a good choice for young kids.

At the club level, you'll enjoy premium drinks and rooms with better views. As for the crowd, it varies depending on the time of year. During peak times like spring break and from June to August, it tends to be a bit busier. However, this is typical for hotels in Mexico. This hotel is especially ideal for families with features like a sea wall that blocks large waves and dolphins on the property.
