My husband was diagnosed with bulbar ALS back in October of 2023. I noticed his speech back in 2020, it was slurred then. It seems this disease is progressing so fast and it's so sad to watch him go through this. He fights and fights hard and I'm fighting with him 💙😢

I am 72 and have been diagnosed with ALS. Because I am a mallwalker, I have been able to keep my legs from getting weak. At home, as I go upstairs, I say out loud to myself "Brain, lift my legs, lift my legs". I repeat this until I am to the top of the stairs. Since I started doing this, I have not fallen down on the stairs.

My guy just passed in December from this terrible disease I was his caregiver for the last two years and he became my best friend my brother 🥺

If I get that disease I'm gonna take my own life but that's just me. I'd rather end my life than to end up like that. Especially since I've been a martial artist for many years. I'd never be able to mentally adjust to not being able to move and care for myself. I'd use my remaining strength to end it before I get to the point that I can't end it.

My mother got diagnosed with this disease. I really don't understand how she got it April 2019 begin to complain more about not being able to walk long distance. She ignored it and didnt to go in then after her mother passed away my grandma in September of 2023 and we noticed a significant change after she fell Her speech was not good it was slurring she had troubles closing her mouth, trouble swallowing, breathing. That's what I'm not understanding because it Als is slow Progressive disease so are they trying to tell me that my mom was asking her symptoms so many years

God help all suffering from ALS and help those who take care of them.
