Even on The floor it's bad , it is not waterproof it holds mold underneath. Nobody ever fixes the substrate properly, That does l VP , because the whole reason it was invented was because of speed and money. Tile done correctly is king.

Almost exactly the situation I'm facing with the dip in the subfloor towards the edge on one room. Thanks!

This is not the way of removing the flooring there is a lot easier and more safer way than that. The way your watching can damage the other boards.

Efin genius! Been fighting with the darn lock. Razor it off... such a simple and elegant solution. This is my first installation of spc.. want a whole house NO transition. The jambs have me in tears. This stuff is stone base so not malleable.

This is great. I was getting ready to cut with my circular saw and was afraid of getting dust everywhere. I tried out your method and, while not entirely identical, it worked great. Thank you!

If you measure out the space ahead, you can be sure to not end up with a 1 or 2 inch strip at the end (which is not recommended) better to have two say 5 inch wide pieces on both ends vs 9 inch on one end and 1 inch on other.

Why glue it?? I’ve walked on feels like 100s tht were not glued down and they never shifted or were bulging. Just curious if you could elaborate.
@JonesKnowsАй бұрын
That was a tongue and groove floor that could only be nailed or glued down. It needs to be wider and have a locking system if you want to do a floating installation. This floor was actually installed under a vinyl floor that we were repairing for a client. He had no idea that floor was even there.

Slide, wiggle, bump and lower, mallet. Slide - stops when it hits the next piece under trim. Mallet down? It's not connected. Are you supposed to chip out the inside corner of grooving from the piece you are abutting, so it slides in at an overhang?
