What is it, when is it OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- you dirty-rotten, mealy-mouthed, handsome liar? 6 weeks? 3 months? Oh no- 1 whole MF YEAR!!!!!!!!!! What is the FUNCTIONAL difference between being '80% healed and capable of normal activities' and 'fully' recovered?' Corporate medicine is cruel- and a contradiction in terms. Robert Allen, Ph.D.

A lackey is someone who works for someone else and tries to get ahead by kissing up to his superiors. For example, a lackey might carry his employer's luggage or fetch her cappuccinos.

Could you play basketball, running and jumping and activities like volleyball etc?

You can , but it has major risk such as dislocation or reduction in life of implant. So avoid doing high impact activities. I'm in week 7 posterior approach

So treat it as if both your legs are your driving leg and take the longer timescale.

I had my right knee done Jan 2023 and 6 weeks later my left knee done Feb 2023. I was a good candidate for having partial knee replacements on both knees. I cannot say enough great things about this entire journey. Dr. Berend and his staff are absolutely AMAZING. I was no longer able to climb stairs, walk any distance without horrible pain. I'm 6 months post op and my knees are great. I can now do all the things I was not able to do prior to the surgeries. PLEASE contact Dr. Berend. He will give you back the ability to enjoy the lifestyle you once had, so you can enjoy doing everything once again!

These are great pre-op exercises to get ready for TKR. While I didn’t have my surgery @Midwest my knee surgeon in FL had me doing these same exercises. I had an excellent outcome. The key to success is working w/your surgeon & physical therapists & doing your part!

Had my left hip replaced almost 5 months ago. For some reason I am dealing with "knee" numbness..

they should say at the end "unless you smoke" cause if you are a smoker they wouldn't help you if your leg fell off or if your pain was so bad it was making you suicidal

Doctor Carter is a genuine gem. An orthopedic doctor that I consulted for my knee pain referred me to Dr. Carter for my hip pain. He offered the anterior approach for hip joint replacement that does minimal trauma to muscle groups around the hip. I recovered so seamlessly from that surgery that I stayed with the Midwest Center for Joint Replacement, and Dr. Carter, for my knee replacement just 4 months after the hip surgery. I am so glad that I did. I went for my 3 month post-op knee replacement follow up, just yesterday. I walked into the office with no pain. The whole team said that I was a "rock-star" healer because my wounds healed so nicely. But I know that fantastic skills and care to detail during surgery are the traits of true Rock Stars!!!! Thank-you Dr. Carter for seeing me as an individual. Some doctors will lump you in with a certain group, either by age, or body type, or medical status and tell you that you are required to wait for needed procedures to lose weight or you are too old or too young. I am blessed that I knew to do some homework and find a team that really treats their patients with respect and shows by their actions that they care about the quality of your life.

Watching all of your videos is making me feel a little more comfortable about going through my surgery tomorrow, I have been absolutely terrified about going through this. I’m praying I’ve picked the right place for my surgery.

Boy he was right about people coming in fearful, I literally started shaking in my chair when he showed me my X-rays. I had a partial knee replacement 10 years ago somewhere else and have never forgotten the excruciating pain I had with that surgery so I’m praying that everything I am hearing about this place and Doctor Berend are true. What a difference ten years makes in Technology.

I had both of my knees replaced this year 2018. Dr. Berend and all the staff at the Midwest Center for Joint Replacement were awesome. Could not have asked for a great group of people! I would highly recommend Dr. Berend and his staff for knee replacement.

Had TKR in FL by Dr. William Mehserle. Had it done down there cuz I was able to go out & sit on dock & enjoy weather. I also wanted this Dr because his scars are much smaller & neater. Can barely see I had it done just last March. I also use Mermaid silicone scar reduction patches.
