Great video. But I don't recommend this product. After buying this display became faulty with flicking and dead segments. Their solution was to repair it open box which I am not happy with. Reason you buy brand new product is to use it without OPEN BOX repairs after all. First company I came across who offered me a very cheap, unprofessional solution. Have been in this industry for more than 20 years. Sad that they did that. I threw the unit I bough in the storage room, now that's my solution. I hope the company will benefit from my sale. lol Cheap brand!

Oh my. I was just about to go purchase the Qcon Pro X until I found this video... I was tossing between the Pro X and the Behringer X-Touch. Other than the price, I was trying to found out the quality and noise level of the Faders but now after watching your video, my new concern is customer service as I am buying in Japan. Oh boy... Any advice? Are you aware of the Behringer X-Touch and whether it matches or surpass the Qcon Pro X? Any advice you can provide is welcomed. Planning to use them for Adobe Premiere and Cubase.
@TrakMonkProductions3 жыл бұрын
Hi, EAprima When I was deciding to purchase a DAW controller I was trying to choose between the qcon g2 and the xtouch. I chose the qcon because of appearance and expand ability. Sure you can daisy chain the xtouch but it does not look as good. I did not get the Pro X because I did not have the extra funds at the time. The only major difference between the G2 and X is the meter bridge that I can tell. Since I’ve gotten mine back from repair I have not had any problems. I am even planning on expanding my setup. I did some research on the problem that i had and it seemed to be rare. Many people have purchased this unit and are having 0 problems, so I think mine was just a fluke. I find it difficult to track & mix without it.

Can you help... QCon Pro G2 Fader 1 issues. When the unit is turned off, the fader resists movement in a stumbling fashion all the way up and down compared to all of the other faders, which are normal. When the unit is powered up, the resistance increases and makes a mechanical fluttering noise when moved. It also stutters and has great difficulty responding to cakewalk and reaper

Great video! I'm waiting on a delivery of a first gen version with 2 extenders and now looking forward to getting back to some good old fashioned hands-on mixing. Although, I've had a few doubts regarding fader noise, especially when mixing at low volume, but you've explained just how simple it is to calibrate them, and in a much clearer way than any info I've found from the manufacturer, or anyone else for that matter. Cheers man, best wishes and good luck with your future music projects!

Thank you for your comment. I have never used the first generation, but I have heard that it has a lower fader resolution than the G2, so it may not be as smooth, but seems like people still love it also. So have fun.

Why wouldn’t the store fully replace it with a new unit, especially within the first year? You should never have to wait for a repair on a unit that’s clearly defective. Where did you buy it? The stores I shop at always are willing to return defective items with a full replacement.

When I go to the studio I will see if there is an overlay for reason. I know there is a blank one that you can write on. And yes I usually put the fat channel on my input just to have a bit of control on the way in. The compressor is not working much just enough to bring up the quiet parts a bit and catch any loud parts. The most it works is maybe 1 or 2 db reduction on loud parts. Afterwards I process on the track to get the final sound I want.
