I build monitor switches I’m saying it’s a mixing violation it creates diffraction which muddies the mix even the speaker manufacturers suggest nothing on top of the speakers just trying to help stay blessed

I took it to the music shop because it was still under warranty. I did not have to pay anything. After getting it back, I don’t know what they did but I have not had any more problems.

It still works for me.

@Lee Davis. Sorry for the delay on replying. I am primarily a studio one user but I do have Logic so I will check into it and let you know what I find.

Exactly everyone acts as if this feature doesn't exist! or maybe they just don't know. Recording with effects on and committing on the way in is the way to go for me

I had an issue 3 months after I got it with it loosing sync. Luckily I have not had that problem. I use it everyday for hours at a time and am not having any problems since I got it back.

@@TrakMonkProductions The issue I had is not a firmware problem but some defective LCD screen. It's a hardware issue which need open box repair. So I think they should replace it with a new unit.

I agree with you. I tried to get them to give me a new one also when I had my issues that were not firmware related since I only had the unit for 3 months when it started trippin but nope in for repairs.

@@TrakMonkProductions it is very disapointing that this have been issues for years with icon i also have talked to other people and they all have problems and issues with this unit and i bought it and i will 100% sent it return i cant have a mixee that gonna have issues

@H.Lopez everything is right in reach. I find it hard to work without it. The faders are the right distance apart for my hand size unlike some other controllers

Hi, EAprima When I was deciding to purchase a DAW controller I was trying to choose between the qcon g2 and the xtouch. I chose the qcon because of appearance and expand ability. Sure you can daisy chain the xtouch but it does not look as good. I did not get the Pro X because I did not have the extra funds at the time. The only major difference between the G2 and X is the meter bridge that I can tell. Since I’ve gotten mine back from repair I have not had any problems. I am even planning on expanding my setup. I did some research on the problem that i had and it seemed to be rare. Many people have purchased this unit and are having 0 problems, so I think mine was just a fluke. I find it difficult to track & mix without it.

Right I’ve had the g2 for a while and it’s not given me any problems it’s built like a tank

Can you help... QCon Pro G2 Fader 1 issues. When the unit is turned off, the fader resists movement in a stumbling fashion all the way up and down compared to all of the other faders, which are normal. When the unit is powered up, the resistance increases and makes a mechanical fluttering noise when moved. It also stutters and has great difficulty responding to cakewalk and reaper

Works well with Logic

Thank you for your comment. I have never used the first generation, but I have heard that it has a lower fader resolution than the G2, so it may not be as smooth, but seems like people still love it also. So have fun.

G thanks for the advice, but since I have gotten it back I have had no issues with it (thank God) so as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I live in Germany, so I guess it is a little more difficult to get a simple solution here.

@@TrakMonkProductions ahh that makes sense, I could see that being an issue if you have to ship it overseas. I’m sorry you had such problems with it. I just ordered the Pro X a few days ago and the store her in Canada assured me they’ve never had any repairs or issues known but would fully refund or replace if i had issues. I sure hope I don’t! @@citytonightproductions no, the store is here in Munich , the just did not want to swap it unless icon told them too.

When I go to the studio I will see if there is an overlay for reason. I know there is a blank one that you can write on. So if you connect it using mcu then you should be able to test each button and see what it does then write it on the blank template. But i will check tomorrow if it has a reason template and let you know.

I'm recording vocals all the time and sometimes guitars and bass through DI

And yes I usually put the fat channel on my input just to have a bit of control on the way in. The compressor is not working much just enough to bring up the quiet parts a bit and catch any loud parts. The most it works is maybe 1 or 2 db reduction on loud parts. Afterwards I process on the track to get the final sound I want.

@@TrakMonkProductions thx mate ,which preamp vst do you recommend and I'm still interested in how much you would gain in quality sound vocal if i bought a hardware preamp and a compressor for recording vocals. Now I have a scarllet 2i2 interface and a rode condenser mic...

@@Gamer6427 well that all depends on the pre, compressor, recording technique, vocalist, and recording environment. Quality recordings don't just depend on the gear. How you use it plays a big role.

What do you mean, the actual white desk? If that is your question, I build it.

@@kebush30 well unfortunately I took the desk apart and got rid of it. I know you are asking why, well I dont have my home studio anymore. I have moved all of my stuff to my new studio.
