Hi Shaunt892. Drew was famous for "high risin'". Starting a bit higher than the start flag. Still, you have to admit it is extremely tough to shoot Roundabout that fast. Even if he started a few inches high. I haven't seen him at a Steel Challenge match in a couple of years. Last I heard he was shooting USPSA matches. If you like fast shooters check out my other videos. Chris Barrett, Raegen Hearn, myself, and others put up some blazing fast times that will blow your mind! Thanks for watching! Two Gun, Watch all of your videos and have really learned a lot. I'm in the process of ordering a Black Mamba 4 1/2 " X and have two questions about your gun. Hi LlyodMarks8346! Thanks for watching. I remade the Volquartsen video because the audio was so bad. The URL is kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnmvdYF3iNOWeZI for a much better review. Hi wgreenough1919! So glad you watched my videos. Thank you so much! I'm always happy to help fellow competitors, when I can. Check out a website called PractiScore.com. Search for matches in Florida and you'll find a bunch! There is a good range 30 minutes southwest of the Daytona area called the Volusia County Gun Club. They have Steel Challenge a couple of times per week! It is a member's club but they are open to the public on certain days. Call before going. Gorka Ibanez is the owner. He is also a competitive shooter and a great guy. The phone number is (386) 301-7881. Tell him Two Gun Terry sent you! Another range further south is OK Corral. It is about an hour northwest of West Palm and an hour or so south of Orlando. They host Steel Challenge the first weekend of each month on both Saturday and Sunday. Thanks again for watching, Terry

Thanks. That helped a lot. Blew that stage at Saturday's match. Going too fast on the rear plates causing misses and so nervous I failed to shoot makeup shots. You can imagine the result. Lloyd Michigan and Siesta Key
@TwoGunTerry3 ай бұрын
Shake it off. The next match is right around the corner. I used to be nervous on the first and second stages before I settled down. A good tip is to find a safe table before the match starts. Leave any ammo in your bag away from the safe table. Then practice shooting into a berm. Find your sights. Pull your trigger if your gun is definitely unloaded. Do it several times. Maybe a dozen picturing your first stage. That will help get rid of the jitters. Terry
@lloydmarks83463 ай бұрын
Shot my second match yesterday with my clone of your rifle. The rifle and Federal AutoMatch ammo ran without a problem. The shooter was nervous on the first stage, Outer Limits, and had several misses, that I failed to shoot a makeup shot on, and took the maximum penalty. I think that our RO ran Showdown wrong as he had us shoot two targets from one box and move, on the clock, to the other box and shoot the other two and the stop plate. I tried every conceivable target combination and made a mess out of this stage too. The other three stages I shot at 60% level, or a little above, with both my RFOP and RFOR. Everyone was very interested in my rifle and impressed that I assembled it myself. (With a ton of help from your videos.) My immediate goal is to reach B class and I convinced I can do it: even at super senior or distinguished senior level, 81. Lloyd Michigan and Siesta Key

Finally I get to see you clean the bore. After disassembly of my 10/22, the bore is the first thing I clean. I usually add some solvent to the snake. Then I get to the nitty-gritty of cleaning the receiver, bolt and trigger assembly. Pretty much the same way you clean your gun. Your method has you cleaning the bore a little later in the whole process than I clean mine, but I do like how you do your cleaning and I'll give it a try in the morning. No solvent on the snake and running it after everything else has been cleaned and assembled. My next match is scheduled for Saturday. Thanks for the video sir.
@TwoGunTerry3 ай бұрын
Hi Bill, Thanks for watching and your comments. I usually clean my bore before reassembly too. Frankly, I was focused on making the video and forgot to do it when I normally do. When I realized, I added it in the video after reassembly. One thing I will say it that I deliberately never put oil on the bore snake. My thought is that the oil on the bore snake can collect dirt and debris that could scratch the inside of the barrel. Just something I think about when cleaning my equipment. Just finishing my build using a Wiland Chassis, Vulquartson everything else with the exception of the compensator . Tried my Holoson 507 Competition and wasn't satisfied with the height on the chassis vs the stock w/o the cheek assembly and I wanted to use the cheek unit. Ordered a C-More from Shooters Connection and I'm waiting for it to arrive. You mentioned that you had to tap and thread the mounting holes for the C-More and I'm hoping that Wiland has done that in the past five years for us. Just wanted to tell you that as a super senior, that just shot his first match yesterda,y I love your videos and have learned a lot from you. Lloyd from Michigan and Siesta Key
@TwoGunTerry4 ай бұрын
Hi Llyod. Thank you again for your kind words. I didn't have to drill and tap the chassis. I had to drill and tap my receiver because it had a picatinny rail cut into the top of the Kidd receiver. I bought the receiver used from a friend (Eddy) and he had the rail cut off and drill and tapped holes for the C-More. If you have a Volquartsen receiver it will have a picatinny rail on top. Just clamp your C-More to it. You'll be fine. Enjoy, Terry

Excellent video. This is what I'm working on right now. I have a bad habit of choking on my 4th string when I'm running a stage really well. And I tend to get in my own head and put unnecessary pressure on myself. Your video has some excellent advice and I'm going to remember what you said next time I'm at a match.
@TwoGunTerry4 ай бұрын
Hi OffTheDraw! Thank you for watching. The mental game is as important as your shooting skills. Maybe more! I shoot all 5 strings the same way. More often than not you'll likely keep the 5th string time and get rid of one of the other string times. Mainly because you have already shot 4 strings. It makes sense your 5th string will be a keeper! Knocking a few tenths or more off your overall match time. In a tight race, that may move you up the scoreboard a few spots! Most importantly, remember to have fun! Enjoy, Terry
