How can I find a hair salon who knows how to cut vintage styles?

If you haven’t made a video of this, may I suggest showing each haircut Marilyn Monroe had and the styles it created. I would love this. I think she had a sort of Middy, but no-one shows us the haircut before styling. In 1962 she had something different I think. Ugg. See? I see many people online asking these questions. Maybe do other actresses too. I am sure there are many people loving the 50’s and 60’s like myself. 😊 ❤

THANK YOU! I didnt realize my cut I wanted had a name until recently. Then I didnt know how to explain it to my stylist. I kept saying go down the sides in an angle, but not mullet like. I kept saying long bangs so they can flop around like Ms. Monroes. I ended up with it sort of right, but not completely. I ended up chopping more off when I got home. Lol Anyways all this rambling and I wanted to say Thank you so much. I usually dont watch videos more than 15mins, but I was very interested. 😊❤

So is the hair kind of damp once you spray it with the setting spray and go in with the curling rod?

If your cat looks angry and frustrated; and hisses at you for seemingly no reason, (especially when you touch them) the first thing you should think about is HEALTH ISSUES. If it's a MALE CAT, something as seemingly 'harmless' as UTI and/or BLOCKED Urethra (EXTREMELY common and PAINFUL for both sexes) in male cats, it can kill them within days. Cats are even more silent about their pain than dogs. So, it's much harder to tell (unless they do things like hissing at you) when something is physically wrong with them.

Can you PLEASE do this same haircut but with longer length and with shorter, rounded (halocut looking) bangs???? PLEASE. No one does that hair cut. Everyone takes the easy route and just does very short 'page boy' type or long (no bangs haircut) version of it.

I am trying to do my hair WW2 style, I have shoulder length hair and I am thinking this might be the one.

Very nicely done, but i's like to know more about the haircut itself. I'm looking for patterns of vintage haircuts from the 5Os and 30s.

Kind of disappointed. From all my reading, there were 2 predominant cuts from that period. This is the horseshoe cut. Every description I've read of the Middy says it was a layered cut. From the diagram, it looks like the layers are spaced at 1.5" except for the bottom one which is only 1".

This was such a good tutorial. Ample patience, along with the diagrams and some vintage books on how to choose your style from the 1940s, I was able to give myself this haircut. It took a while and I had to use a spray bottle to rewet my hair, but it's a very forgiving process and turned out in VICTORY! Thank you so much for posting this, you're an absolute doll, thank you thank you!!

Do you have a space for consultations? Do you know how Marilyn Monroe had her haircut in The Seven Year Itch?

I am sorry but this is not correct. In the diagram there are layers shaped into u shape, each after the other.

I'm not trying to be mean but she reminds me of that girl in full house in the beginning episodes when they come back from a haloween ball or something and gets told " you look like Marilyn Monroe".. she'd do the facial expressions and say " I am Marilyn Monroe silly". And Joey just looks at her like "...okayy..." The hair looks amazing, but the fact she's trying to act like someone she's not is a little off-putting and entitled. But that's just my opinion.

This is a great video! However it would be SO great to see more of the hair cut you start out with. The hair is clearly layered. But How are the layers? Length on different places? Shape of layers, etc. Because the right hair cut is an important base for making the wet set perfect!

Can someone use sponge rollers for this? I know it would take longer to dry, but would it be possible?

this was really interesting to watch! i think out of all the sort of Rococo hair tutorials ive seen, this one came out prettiest so far. a nice balance between elegantly coiffed and artfully tousled. i wonder how long hair would affect the process? its wild seeing the transformation from a bob to this
