Made one of these from three pieces of OSB 1" (thick) X 8-1/2" (wide) X 35" (long). Works like a charm on my 750 Kawasaki Vulcan with saddle bags. Thanks for the video, Bchassis.

Just done mine and it was a pig of a job to do. Replaced chains, guides and tensioners. Getting the motor in and out of the frame is not easy but you cannot do the job unless the motor is out. The tensioners are inside the motor and you cannot get to them from the outside the motor like most bikes. The new tensioners do look better made than the original fitment (2008) but it is still a bad design.

Hey Bchassis I just recently bought a 2005 m50 with 5800 miles on it. I saw your name getting thrown around the forums, I was curious if my bike still has low miles is their away to get lube in there before it's to late? (first bike and absolutely love it)
@Bchassis
@Bchassis 7 жыл бұрын
yes Sir! i have published a how to in the M50 boulevard forum. fix it before it is too late! It will only cost you some time ,and a cheap couple dollar oil seal cap. I have even published part numbers you will need. good luck!

My 2004 50 boulavard developed a raddle like cam chain , I put a rubber hose over the chain tensioner to gain more adjustment travel . The chains were so tight that the end of the cam shaft was pulled out of its bearing and had to be pulled into place by the top couver . Noise is still there ,could it be the oil pump chain ?

can you fit it in a vise? or grab the bottom with vise grips? then maybe stand on the vice grips so they wont move.
