What you are calling a wattle is actually called a Cere. Chickens have wattles. I am enjoying your pigeon content because you are so new to the hobby. I am just discovering and watching someone get started on a low budget is very helpful

For what u doing its not worth keeping pure bredd reets and sions you crossed what would be an ideal racing pigeon. The only way its worth keeping racing blood lines is if u raced the off springs and breed the best of the best. Nobody is gonna buy purebreds with no race history.. enjoy them for what they are ...homers are awesome to watch loft fly

Any bird can be fast or for long distance some might be better equipped for it. As long as they have the desire and the strength they will come home from anywhere as long as they can avoid predators or the elements.

Melt useless wax candles in a can, and paint the carboard box with it to seal it from moisture. Or take mineral spirit and mix it with a tube of silicone, and then paint the carboard box with it to water proof it. Be careful when using mineral spirit, if left unattended, it could start a fire on its own, keep it sealed in the can when not in use, and discard anything such as rags that have traces of mineral spirit, far away from any home or important structures.

My suggestion is use those good pigeons as stock breeders only Don't fly them, and train and fly the young pigeons. we don't want to lose the good pigeons to Hawks. From D.K.S PIGEON LOFTS, Western Australia

@@fazsyard your welcome D.K.S PIGEON LOFTS W.A Birmingham rollers.use your used milk bottles for their water cut a 2"x2" hole on one side, any bigger the young one will get in there. get a 15-litre bucket and lid, drill 2" holes all the way around for their feed, I put a plastic bowl in the middle so the seed falls to the outside. have fun

ABEs are Extreme Long Distance bird with Speed and good for 100-1000kms. as advertised in our country. They sometimes win in lap races but they are usually raced with sea crossing and smash races. They are my foundation birds and crossed with Aardens, Stich, PVM and Jos Thone. Trying them in OLRs this year. Although they have produced a Dirty Blue Bar out of Pure Recessive Black parents as throwback. There is also a Fancier here that produces Pure White from their ABEs.

Your videos are super interesting. Thank you for your work. I personally like the natural hedges when you mimic nature. I have scotch pines as a hedge and want to put bushes between/among them: Cornus Alba "Elegantissima", Physocarpus and Ligustrum. These bushes are fast growers and can tolerate both drought and shadow to some extent. Zone 6a. In our climate, these bushes can grow 2-3 meters + pines as an upper layer. Update: blueberries also work if you have enough sun for them. The only issue is that they don't grow so fast and so high.

Hi Alexander, thanks for the comment. To Mimic nature is always a great idea. I would say most of my gardens designs I get from nature. But for my hedge I am looking for a very tall green wall up against a fence to block everyone out. So even my green gaints at some point I going to end up shaping them to keep them compact. I am building a nature trail within the yard. Once the summer gets here, I will make a video on it. I like the bushes you named in your comment I am going to see if I could pick some of them up for my yard. thanks again.
