On a serious note, with the new Ecutek Transmission Suite. If we can change the shift points, does that mean we'll no longer need to swap TCM? That would make swapping so much more accessible.
@MyFaux4 сағат бұрын
Be me, get a transmission cooler, 2yrs later the AN push lock fitting fails on your way to work. Car is smoking, but you're 10mins late and dont have a fire exhinguisher. Come back in the morning and your parking spot is flooded, engine bay soaked, and mufflers dripping. Butt you're looking for an excuse to VR swap so you driving home anyways. Conveniently in a 20min drive, you only had to hit the brakes 3 times. You notice each time you're need more RPM to get moving. 2000, 3000, 4000... 1 Z1 transmission flush kit order later you realize the last shop that installed the transmission cooler used a damn impact for the fill port and it strips. Oh well, your oil pan was already shit for being #staticgang. Another Z1 3day wait l8r and following the Nissan ATF flush procedure. It still shifts and drives like shit. Oh no, it might be deaded. Adds 2 extra quarts for gl and watch the "excess" drain, oh no, its still shit. Again you order 3 more quarts for the dreammmm. Then an Idea struck, maybe there's air in the lines and valves? Quick Jack to the rescue. You decide to put the car on drive while you add more ATF. Aye, no excess. Then you hear the engine doing a funny. Traction control doesn't like being on a lift. Oh shit the car locked itself with the keys inside! You panic! Luckily, your passenger window is down a little. You grab you oodachi, because what kind of Z owner doesnt have an oodachi? But it was 4in too short. It's always 4 inches... So you grabbed a pool stick and that reached the unlock. Yay you saved the car! You take it for a test drive, NOOOOOOOO it drives like normal. No VR swap for you. That was last week. 😅

@SOHOMotorsports3 күн бұрын
Of course! That said, the GT-R is Nissan's flagship car, so they would never factory produce a vehicle to ourtun their flagship, just like how the ZR1 Corvette will always outrun the ZL1 Camaro in factory form

That's when you buy a nismo lol
@GHOST-hd4wm3 күн бұрын
@@jonathanbailey3545 No, the nismo is underpowered compared to this build. The nismo only makes 481 pound feet of torque while this makes over 600. Furthermore, this build makes 620 wheel horsepower, while the nismo only makes 600 crank horses. There's a big difference between the two.
@jonathanbailey35453 күн бұрын
@GHOST-hd4wm stock for stock though, the nismo is that factory package you speak of, and with the nismo having alot of carbon its lighter so even if they had the same power the nismo is dominant, and a fbo nismo is 700+ with the bigger turbos. So if this car came from the factory making 620, you'd be paying nismo prices or close to it.

@jonathanbailey35452 күн бұрын
@72mlauer a fbo nismo on E can still beat a upgraded turbo premium so that 77lbs makes a difference lol. But I'm just saying the nismo has more potential from the factory. But I don't think it's worth 100k more for some carbon goodies, better brakes, and stiffer suspension 👎🏾. Still love these cars nice job with yours 👍🏾

Zen does have a great kit as we have been in contact with him to offer his kit as an option to our setup as well in 2025. Our kit was a refit of the vortech system that has been used on the DE sc system for 2 decades now. It worked for some and did not for other and now we have something that works for all.
