Great video! We’re coming from Minnesota and want to plan ahead for which sites are good for tent camping. This is super helpful for that purpose. Thank you!

Surface to Air, In my book, definitely most efficient, informative camp reviews. Thank You.! Drove through RJL last week , I was the only soul on entire lake/park. Sunday, dam area gates open, campground gates closed. Water was way low. Curious if that is seasonal or controlled. Real gem, can't wait to camp next year.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw your comment. The best time to go when the water is "normal" is usually by Memorial Weekend. The water begins dropping around that time and by July 4th, the swimming area is typically unusable. That's been our experience the past few years. If we have a wet Spring/Summer, the lake may stay at normal levels for longer.

Great video, thanks. We just camped here this week. They have repaved all the roads and they are really smooth now. Also there is now Wifi at the bath house. We loved being able to launch our kayaks so easily. We can't wait to go back.

Excellent video!! We have stayed there, site #1 with our 33ft Class C. I did a ride through at that time to find other sites that were large enough for my RV but couldn't find my photos, so your video gave me great information.

Thank you. I actually refer back to my videos before booking sites. The photos most campgrounds have are pretty worthless. I hope to get a couple more campground videos done this year. Check out my other campground walk-throughs. We have a decent number of them now from the general area.

Is there any gold in the creeks and stream at Elizebeth furnace?
@S2AMediaLLC Жыл бұрын
I thought I had replied to your comment a couple weeks ago but now I don’t see it. I’m not aware of any gold, but I’m not certain. I’ve never heard of anyone talking about gold in that creek and I’ve lived in the area for 17 years now.
@goldmonkeyprospecting5789 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I get it but just because they don’t talk about doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve a little prospecting. 🦍

Would have been great if you had included what the inside of the bathhouse looked like, that is always my biggest question when reserving new to me campgrounds.

It's similar to other VA state parks. They are kept clean and I've never seen it dirty in the numerous times we've been there.

We are back from our first stay and there isn’t a bad site in that park. Big rig friendly. Your video was perfect thank you!!! Had a great experience with nearby DOWNRIVER CANOE COMPANY. They listened to our concerns and needs and set us up for A super carefree canoe float down the river. Saw Eagles, turtles herons, geese and lots of fish. They shuttled us , put the canoe in and out for us and we had the river to ourselves … really relaxing. Park has many beautiful trails. We also explored the NAt park which was a 15 minute drive away.

How is the road from I 81 to this campground?
@S2AMediaLLC2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I just saw your comment. From 81, you would take I-64 West for about a half hour to the exit for Douthat. Then the road in is only about 5 miles, but it's easy. Shouldn't be any issues with a 5th wheel or Class A.
@josephrobichaud51982 жыл бұрын
Now that looks like a really nice campground, unlike some that look like an RV sales lot and there jambed in so tight you can barely open your awning.

Thank you so much for this amazing review!! As someone who used to live in Billings, Montana and now lives in the Northern Virginia area, I so appreciate this visual. I can’t wait to check out this campground as a pop-up camper owner this seems like the place to exactly have what I’m looking for. Couldn’t have made that conclusion without your video and I hope you know how much I appreciate it!
