It would be such an amazing series idea to hunt down a particular dish like this curry rice in every country you visit and interview the restaurant owners on their stories with bringing the dishes abroad

Wow, it looks fantastic. It's tough to find a good curry shop in California.

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty and the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty is a course which aims to sharpen your buoyancy skills to increase your safety underwater, reduce air consumption and also to avoid damaging marine life. This course will teach you to fully control your buoyancy to achieve good position underwater like those experienced divers

This is very useful information, thanks for sharing!

Having your own dive equipment is a wonderful choice both for your safety, familiarity, comfort and hygiene, if you would like to learn how to properly use, clean, store and service your dive equipment, the SSI Equipment Techniques and the PADI Equipment Specialtist specialty program is very useful. You will learn advanced gear maintenance techniques, gear storage and maintenance, gear servicing intervals and importance of having your equipment serviced regularly. BTW I have passed both specialty courses from both agency

I started diving in 2022 as well, still open water certified with SSI, and I would like to give you a caution about your advice on renting scuba equipment. First of all, not all scuba gear can be rented, your dive computer and smb is compulsory for fun dives but the dive centers usually will not have enough dive computers for every diver and strictly no sharing !!! for smb, nobody rents it, it is only around $50 to purchase and it is for your own personal safety cos anyone can get lost at anytime Number 2, not all equipment that you get will be in good condition, I have gone to only 3 dive centers in Tioman and found 1 center which rents out old equipment in useable condition (not good) - the bcd and regulator and it really ruined my dive experience for the whole 3 days. Number 3, equipment rental charges are really unneccesary and overpriced !!! as for now, equipment rental charges in Tioman Island average about rm80-Rm100 per day (bcd, reg, mask, fins, wetsuit). For a usual diving trip of 3 days, you end up paying about rm200 in rental equipment fees only and this price is fluctuates and increases every year!!! The price difference is obvious when you compare a 5 dives package without equipment cost only around RM 600 and with equipment it costs almost RM900 Last, rental clothing like wetsuits are actually dirty and full of bacteria, because the dive centers do not disinfect them after every dive and divers usually urinate in their wetsuits, yuck!! i never touched rental westuits from starting from my first dive lesson, I got 1 really good 1.5mm wetsuit from taobao around $90, while my friend who uses the rental wetsuit had skin rash and itchiness, poor guy. And to add 1 more, those yellow rental fins are actually quite hard, it frequently causes cramps and not to mention the blisters

Cash is still a legal tender, any establishment refuse to accept cash transaction is breaching the law. I have had no problem of using cash in Shangzhen, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
