Thank you for all the great information. So enlightening to see the medical aspect of it. The phrase that you said it cures everything but death is actually referring to the teaching of our prophet Mahammad ( May peace and blessings be upon him.) It’s actually one of the miracles of our holy book Quran. Muslims are recommended to eat 7 black seeds every morning it’s promised to cure any and every medical condition except death. Sorry about the rant. But I’m so excited that you were able to get relief with them growing up I always thought it tasted so bitter and nasty but now I know why my parents use to encourage us to take it. Anywho best of luck on your journey. ❤

Lmao, the funniest thing just happened to me. I opened this video and immediately saw a comment about deleting social media so I decided to delete Instagram since I haven't taken an Instagram-break in a while (all my other social media platforms are also on hold at the moment). I clicked out of KZbin and went on Instagram, and I ended up getting sucked into watching reels and forgot why I had even gone to check on it😭🤚🏽. The moment I remembered, I was like "Yea, that's definitely why I should delete it"😂😭

To summarize: Limit your rice intake or follow the hacks mentioned in the video. One positive thing to note about white rice is if it’s cooked and then cooled for a substantial amount of time in the fridge, it builds up resistant starch which is amazing for our gut microbiome and causes less of a glucose spike. If making sushi at home, make sure to do this (add coconut oil to rice while cooking for even better glucose results) 👍

Totally agree. However, they do help me sneak in nutrients to my kids! I just like to stick to 1/3 cup fruit max. Definitely need to balance out the fruit with some fat, fiber and greens to lower the spike.

Thank you so much for this video. So, I have PCOS. But I am also on the Nexplanon to treat some of my PCOS symptoms. I’ve also been on metformin for five years now. And I’ve been wanting to get off of it for a little while now. I’ve been considering taking Blackseed oil, but don’t know what to do or if it’s safe for me to take it. My insulin is high, but my A1c is normal. Do you have any advice? I could really use it right now.
@AuthenticallyAri
@AuthenticallyAri Ай бұрын
Thanks for tuning in :) I would definitely consult with your doctor before changing things up. However, my endocrinologist was happy to test out berberine before metformin so maybe you can discuss with them and come up with a game plan to switch. I don’t see a problem with adding Black Seed Oil into the mix now but there are certain drug interactions/contraindications I’d double check before. Sending all the good energy your way!

Thanks for tuning in! Regarding gut health, I forgot to mention that I’m testing out replacing Chia seeds with Basil Seeds. They are supposedly amazing for gut health and less inflammatory than chia. They also have double the fiber, potassium, calcium & iron. 10x the prebiotics as well. Keep you posted!

Thanks for airing out your concerns, you're so right, diabetes (& insulin resistance) are pretty much the whole enchilada in terms of getting to the root of our health crisis But I have to disagree: sustained high blood sugar is the symptom, not the cause of diabetes/insulin resistance And in my opinion, the constant focus on blood sugar values provides an endless goldmine for content, podcast subs, and Pharma remedies The cause of diabetes is simple, and thus the remedy is simple Intramyocellular lipids, ie, fats in your muscle/liver cells interfering with insulin signaling are the CORE problem Eat less fats. Eat **CLEAN** carbs like fruit, yams, potatoes, white rice Clean sugars are not a "drug" --sugar is a NUTRIENT. Sugar is a MACRO. Your entire body runs on sugar Skip the oils. Eat watermelon till you're satisfied for the win 🥇

I appreciate the comment and different view point! I am familiar with your point of view. Are you avoiding all sorts of healthy fats like olive oil too? I agree we should be avoiding unhealthy saturated fats and that does affect your glucose response and contributes to weight gain which applies to your bodies total response to insulin. I’m genuinely curious what your response to fruit is on a glucose monitor and/or A1C and if avoiding fats is helping your response. Fruit is amazing for our health in so many ways, I would love to eat it all day if I could!

The whole concept of 1/2 your plate of carbs as a dietary recommendation is preposterous. Firstly carbs are not an essential food source as your body can make glucose from protein and fat. Secondly this whole concept has greatly contributed to an epidemic of obesity. Fruit, being all natural, is often given a free pass. This is something I had to get over. Very few fruits are healthy if you have a diabetes or insulin resistance risk.

Hi All. I just wanted to reiterate that this video tackles a non-obvious topic that I see so many doing on a daily basis thinking it’s “healthy.” Of course, the bigger issue in relation to pre diabetes is limiting refined carbohydrates, processed foods and sugars. One step at a time. Focus on eating Whole Fruit or limiting to 1/3 cup in a smoothie. I promise you will notice a huge difference and your A1C will thank you.

Thanks for tuning it. I didn’t say it causes it but everything has a cumulative effect on blood sugar, whether it’s fruit or not. You have to look at things holistically. It all enters the blood stream in the same way and turns into the same sugar molecule. I am not anti whole fruit, I am anti the excessive fruit trends going on.

*Thanks for watching! Please feel free to comment - would love to hear your experience with blood sugar regulation :) - One quick note on the video. When I mentioned you don’t need to go on a “diet”, that is assuming you mainly already eat healthy. It is best to avoid added sugar & high glycemic/processed foods. As mentioned, if you’re having a treat, make sure to have it at the end of a balanced meal to cut the glucose spike down drastically. Also, here is my previous video on Black Seed Oil & Berberine kzbin.info/www/bejne/i16Zk6awiq9jnMksi=LWh-gvvdMGffYPwN

-Make sure to drink the 1 Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar diluted in water with a straw so it doesn’t ruin your teeth enamel. - Also, black seed oil is great to take in the morning for glucose regulation but it does make me a little sleepy. Depends on the person. I take it in the evening since it helps so much with sleep. It is a miraculous supplement. - The Organic Olivia tincture I put in my purse is called Gluco Bitters

Until recently there has never been a known cure for schizophrenia and other major mental health disorders. People are turning to the carnivore/keto way of eating and actually being healed from schizophrenia/bipolar/depression/anxiety/etc. It turns out that a lot of people just can't tolerate a diet full of high carbohydrate foods. Dr. Chris Palmer and Dr. Ken Berry and others have been sounding the alarm on this. It is now known that mental health issues are actually a metabolic issue. I would encourage anyone struggling with mental health or unknown physical ailments to look into it.
@AuthenticallyAri
@AuthenticallyAri 2 ай бұрын
Agreed 100%. Thanks for your comment :) Your metabolic health and glucose controls it all. I’d prefer to see people not just avoid folic acid but high carbohydrate diets as a whole. I did another video on berberine and black seed oil for glucose as well.

Important Items I didn’t get to mention in the video: - When methylation is impaired, your risk for certain diseases goes up drastically. This can be easily improved with your choices! - Aside from avoiding Folic Acid, make sure to add in lots of dark leafy greens (sprouts are awesome for smoothies specifically broccoli sprouts). You can sneak these into your kids smoothies. - Watch out for nutritional yeasts with folic acid (Dr. Berg has a non fortified version). - When supplementing, make sure the correct B12 is listed, not the synthetic version. Look for methylcobalamin. Folate should be listed as L-methylfolate NOT folic acid. - Another gene mutation that impairs methylation is COMT. I’ll do another video on this eventually. -Of course, avoiding processed food is always the best option! Avoiding glyphosate (buying organic), dyes and sugar will help your kids immensely. Not easy but worth it.

The form is B12 is important too. It needs to be either Methylcobalamin or Adenosylcobalamin or Hydroxycobalamin. Never Cyanocobalomin which is synthetic & promotes just as many problems in the methylation pathways.

As an important note, you do not have to take both to see an improvement. You will still see a massive improvement with either one. Please check with your doctor. This is just my experience 😁 To summarize: I took 2 berberine pills a day (Thorne brand) 1x breakfast and 1x dinner. I also did 1 tsp of black seed oil in morning and then switched to after dinner. I would mix it with electrolyte water or something else since the taste is strong. You do get used to it after a while. *These tips are AFTER you have already implemented a healthy diet and exercise.* You got this!

Hey, does anyone have and hopefully it's had or on its way, that the bulging can go away with work and remission? One eye during pregnancy was so bad and swollen (never before with the hyperthyroidism just 3rd trimester). It was quite horrible due to high risk and horrible care aside from a lovely therapist that is a saint and angel because I would have had no support in knowing and feeling like the doctors were not taking me serious. I was in the er all the time for preclampsia. I had to stop working without any pay or paperwork help filled out for some help not even maternity leave. It was awful. Thankfully my job was so understanding and kept me on insurance, but I did what was best for me and my baby. I wasn't going into psychosis from the stresses and levels again. It happened last time when I found out due to life situation endings and major stresses that were happening and out of my control aside from what I could do to help, you know. Anyways, sorry for this it's just nice to find community in this. ❤❤ Sending all the loves and good vibes.

I didn’t have the bulging but I empathize and would love to know if anyone else could offer anything helpful on this. For overall inflammation levels, I have taken black seed oil and it has helped immensely. I highly recommend it and will probably do a video on this soon. I am in “remission” now 🙏🏻 Sending all my love and healing!

I appreciate you sharing your health journey about your hyperthyroid issues, thank you. I’m glad that I stopped and listened to your journey because I do get different things on what to do and not to do with each of you that I have listened to. I like what you said about eating your veggies, fats and protein before one eat their carbs. No one else has mentioned that in that way. Also, you are the only one that gave a suggestion on helping with the lack of sleep with Magnesium Glycerinate along with vitamin D. I am still struggling with that, and sleeping pills natural supplements or other sleep aids isn’t helping. So thanks for sharing this information too. I am in the process of trying to put my “G” condition into remission with my healthy and clean diet, upped my exercise routine along with trying to manage my stress level with Yoga. However, I do want to go further with finding a natural path doctor along with their conventional medical practice to run different blood panels to dig deeper into other issues that could/might affect my health.
