But was it pitched to her as "luxury". Because that's false advertising. And Developing countries vs. Developed isn't an to Apples comparison.

Mosquitos are horrible. Unless you cover yourself in repellent and set a timer for when it wears off, you’re just a mobile buffet table for blood suckers. Not a fan of hiking.

I always find it so funny when people are saying that they’re poor when actually they’re living way above their means. A lot of people would be legit living fine if they learned to downsize and live with the minimum. But everyone thinks they deserve everything. If you make like 60 K a year, you should have no problem having a decent place to live a decent car and a decent life. People be making a decent living and have nothing to show for it because they’re trying to act like they’re rich when they’re not. How about you? Just don’t use your ego and live a comfortable life? Maybe you’re not at that stage yet where you can live that life. you should not be funding your family or friends. I just watched a KZbinr who was saying he was making videos to just pay the bills as he had like seven guitars in the background and a bunch of stuff that he did not need. Yeah I don’t think it’s just to pay the bills dude. You could definitely be fine if you downsized for life. I do not feelanything for people that live with too much and spend too much and then blame everybody else.

Theres a split in India about this. There's the rich and upper middle class who immigrated early on during 50s and 60s . They don't have this issue Then there's the class who have one person working in middle east who solely sends money to the family Of course you'll find the no skilled ones who aren't interested in getting educated or learning any skilled trade but just want to immigrate and live off welfare .

SPF, no thank you! We almost never get UV induced Melanoma! In fact, the Melanoma we do get is called Acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM), is extremely rare & IS NOT CAUSED BY ULTRA VIOLET RADIATION FROM THE SUN! It manifests on palms, soles of feet and other areas where the sun don't shine. New research has shown that UV actually could prevent it. The lack of sunlight is what triggers it. Either way, sunblock does nothing for those of us with Eumelanin (especially our shade with vasts amounts of it). Not only are you wasting money, you are unnecessarily exposing yourself to cancer causing chemicals such as benzenes and PFAS & many others. The redness you may experience is a normal response to the sun since we are indoors all the time, we live in the northern hemisphere and are unneceissarily using SPF. Our melanocytes haven't had the chance to produce enough melanin to shield us completely from the UV. Unlike people with Pheomelanin or no melanin, we don't peel & blister from 2nd and 3rd degree sunburn under normal conditions. SPF also blocks our ability to recieve vital vitamin D which we almost always lack because we live in Colorado, are almost always indoors & use sunblock. Please have your vitamin D checked & get supplements if needed. Better yet, ditch the SPF & get the natural vitamin D which is proven to be much better. No one would decide to climb the Incline on a whim. They prepare physically for it by working out thier muscles. The same is true with being in the sun for us. If you plan to be in the sun & don't want to turn a little red, spend an hour a day in the sun for several days prior to, especially if you are planning on visiting the tropics. There is a reason why 1.4 billion people in Africa aren't suffering from epidemic UV induced melanoma. The ones that do are the colonizers & other Europeons.

There's also a thing that I dont think has a formalized term, but it's where someone who experiences any kind of perceived hardship (that's important, because it doesn't need to appear to be uniquely or notably extreme, it only matters that THEY perceive it to have been hard) has a sense that they are entitled to other people's resources. I had a lot of really bad years, thought I was going to die for a long time, and I feel this impulse in myself, like because I had all that stuff happen to me, I should be able to work less hard/struggle less than the people around me because the bad things in my life were frontloaded so heavily.

Family does not equal obligation. I would never fund someone's life. I don't do it for my wife or my children once they turned to adult. Will I help them if they need help? Absolutely, but funding someone's life is just handicapping them.

It's the classic give someone a fish vs. teach someone to fish for themselves thing. If you are just giving someone money on the regular, you are actually not helping them, you are just making them dependent on you. Obviously exceptions apply when they are desperate situations or emergencies, but regular payments no.

Yesss, been saying this for years! I aint even a min into the video and i feel seen! I REFUSE to send money to my relatives especially the ones i never met physically because I simply CANNOT afford to. They are mystified by the media and rumors of American life though with its privileges has its major faults! Yet, they get so entitled and rude about it. I learned from my parents about how often they got scammed by family overseas to send for “school fees” but never went. Smh

Part of family moved from Kyrgyzstan to Russia after my family left to move to Germany. My grandparents gifted the other part of my family the house which they built themselves during Soviet times. Before the other part of my family moved to Russia for a “better” life, they sold the house they were GIFTED…once in Russia they were poor and relied on my grandparents….they didn’t even had proper jobs in Germany and sent a lot of money to that family in Russia because of my great-grandmother and two children since they held a grudge against my grandmother’s brother and wife for selling the house they built, raised their kids in and where I took my first steps. Later they found out that my grandmother’s brother used the money my grandparents sent to them for gambling and alcohol instead to use it for his elderly mother and his children. And they stopped sending money. They visited once a year and gave money to my great-grandmother directly so she would take care of the finances. After my great-grandmother passed away my grandparents only sent money to the children. Once I had a job my grandmother’s brother texted me and asked me for money which I declined because of what happened in the past….he got so angry at me and told me that I am not helping my family how I am “supposed to” and that I should never come and visit again…. It’s so insane how a lot of ppl expect you to send money and help them even though u don’t even know them properly because they never cared enough about u (and I didn’t trust him anyways because he would just use it for drügs and gambling and won’t buy food for his family or pay for his two son’s education

Welcome to Africa. I have been there a few times and this is what most of the continent is like. And… when you get to the luxury spots they charge you out your a$$ for it because where else are you going to go???😂 Same for the real estate that is just touching western standards and if the food is “foreign” like a burger and fries… they are going to overcharge your behind. It’s sad.

And he was good to me ,my late brother and sister and now they he’s on his 70’s I get upset because he calls me when he’s medication runs out and I explain to him to call me 2 weeks before his medication runs out so I can send him the money for it . But is only him because he never got married or had children of his own
