I first watched this when i was still jazz music college grad, and i have kept coming back to watch this time to time since then, 15 years past, i still think this is one of the best solo Kurt has ever played. Kurt's playing was very soulful and very articulative back then, now he has changed alot since then.

wouldn't the date of the concert be 2011 and not 2021? It seems to be at New Morning (Paris). I think I was there, I saw Kurt three or four times in Paris... Since Star of Jupiter, for me, he doesn't do anything anymore - why? He transported me like scof and pat metheny, but less long in terms of years! And he really had created a personal universe, it's an enigma....

mike did a cooler job. its good, but overdoing it yeah.. that's the main problem with modern guys, all that full blown emotion...matter of taste, and sometimes its apporpriate. sorry for being a dick. that's just my personal opinion, hope its ok to say it!!

correct ... but it is amazing in the technique of showing how to move the fingers in the diapason, what it does in the subjects, it is precisely THE PRACTICE IN THE SPEED THAT PROPOSE THE DIGITATION that obvious, has to do with a SHOW THAT PRESENT WITH CLARITY, THAT THE PURPOSE IT IS TO UNDERSTAND ARRIVAL TO THE FEELINGS OF A LISTENING ...! We do not condemn, criticize, envy, etc. NO, he has his success in having mastered his personality and applying it to the fingerboard. AND THE IDEAS? well, that's for others who think in definite harmony ... tito
@tito612745 жыл бұрын
dear friend colleague Mike, for students who usually do not understand and we also always with that so-called primitive or traditional 'bipbop' of the '50' most understand that you work on obvious scales and chords and clear that is not music, less of jazz, do not know that what you are doing, accustomed to commercial net music, consider '' you are playing, looking for what you can not find '', everything is transformed into monotony very preached that comes to bore that is an expressive feeling from the one who waits for melody, harmony. And of course when you hear something from the decade of '30 it moves, I even tell you frankly, the jazzer. Think with your imprint, generate something concrete and then transmit it. Everyone values you ANYTHING MORE THAN THE DIGITATION, NOT THE IDEAS. YOUR EXPRESSION IS TO CREATE ON THE CHAIRS AND DISCARDING SCALES OF THE TRADITIONAL There is a very expressive epoch of yours that marked a style; but you overdid it, '' you go to a point determined by your mind, but it does not reach what you aim for, it goes on long '' ... I speak to you from the parapsychological point of view. We see that it complicates you and that you have a permanent struggle to search while you perform and you never agree with what you do. Clear before the YES of the colleagues in the instrument, they like your passion FOR THE DIGITATION AND NOT FOR THE IDEAS THAT MARQUEN YOUR OWN STYLE. In short, most see you with a '' LANGUAGE THAT NO ONE UNDERSTANDS AND IT DOES NOT HAVE TO ASSIMILATE WITH PLEASURE '' Meditate on this. tito researcher parapsychologist spiritual psychophysical intelligence
