It's a breeze doing it via the long ferry (luckily we haven't ever had really bad weather on the Bay of Biscay). Whichever way you come down from Bilbao/Santander it's basically one motorway, and no problem in a right hand drive car. We did it quite a few times down to Benidorm.

No ,there were five of us trying but didn't succeed.

We have done that in Madrid, New York and Barcelona, its always a good tip, as you say to get your bearings. We did it in Bournemouth once, it started raining and the windows steamed up so much that we couldn't see anything lol.

Hi Colin, yes we would drive there, but I doubt if we would do it as I have just tried to book for 18th January out of curiosity and the price from Cadiz, one way with a motorhome was 753 euro and that was without a cabin, maybe a bit cheaper going by car. Thanks for watching 🙂

Hi Mary, it's simple, but can be overlooked, as we don't usually do it that way in the UK. Hope you and Chris are both good, you'll have to have a night or two in Ripon in your van next summer and we can show you around. Our campsite doesn't have casual bookings as they are all seasonal, but there's a little site down near the canal marina you could look at. If not, it will have to be Le Moulin Fort in 2026 lol.
