@bradthesnackman1491 so by the sound it put them all at -- because it didn't complete the relearn, if your having problems with 1 tire I would check the tire pressure sensor battery. Some tpms tools will have a battery light. Or I would buy a new tpms sensor and replace it and then you have to pair it to the car then u should be able to do the relearn.

Do you think the tire sensor bad ?

I know its been a while since this upload, but was your repair successfull and got rid of all the postive crank pressure? I've been doing a lot of research and there seems to be one common issue, the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Orifice, it's integrated into the valve cover. It's GM part # 12641875. Apparently it gets clogged and causes the same p codes you were experiencing such as the mass air flow performance/out of test range. There's a couple of accounts also stating that it takes out cylinder 1. I'm currently going to open up a 1.5l on a equinox for a bit of postive crank pressure. On a side note this equinox had excessive vacuum on the oil fill cap and oil dip stick. That was due to a very clogged engine air filter. After figuring that out, it had a bit of postive pressure. No codes though, but I want to fix it before it causes damage. 90k on the odometer currently. And the only reason I want to fix it is because on my research many mechanics stated that this engine on idle should have a slight vacuum at the oil fill cap and dipstick.
@09jklful7 ай бұрын
I should add that the clogged pcv orifice also causes excessive blow-by.
@joshedgar22097 ай бұрын
So it solved the code how ever the engine had already lost compression on cylinder 1 after I repair it I ran a cylinder compression test and thats when I realized the rings on number 1 piston had already built up so much carbon and the piston was cracked. I spent the money replaced almost everything inside the motor other then the cam shafts and crank shaft, car ran great for about 500 miles then soon after then cylinders 3 snd 4 dropped on compression to around 90 psi at that point I got a good used engine and swapped it out. Its been a good car other then those issues, I just replaced the turbo this past weekend due to an oil leak so when you dig into it my suggestion would be make sure ur working in the cleanest environment you can, pay for all data. Next I would also say go over every part with a fine tooth comb so you don't miss any bad or failing parts

I would suggest running a cylinder compression test of all 4 cylinders. Good rule of thumb from when I was in auto tech in high school was they should all be with in 15% of each other
@firstlast---11 ай бұрын
Very common on these engines for the pcv orifice to clog causing excessive crankcase pressure leading to p1101. At idle there should be a slight vacuum at the dipstick hole. A crude way of testing this is to rip off a small sheet of paper and put it on top of the dipstick hole with the engine running. A healthy engine will suck the paper in. Technically speaking you should measure the crankcase pressure to rule out the possibility of cracked pistons which can also cause p1101. Usually cracked pistons are accompanied with a misfire code but you should never assume

The 1 on the top near the dipstick tube broke while trying to remove it the way that it locks down in almost seems like if you take it out you have to replace it from what I can figure. How ever do your self a favor while your car is running and up to temp pop your hood and pull the oil fill cap and see if you have excessive blow by ( smoke from the hoke that the cap just came off from) if you do I would then recommend doing a cylinder compression test. These motors are becoming very well know for piston rings building up souch carbon that do not allow the rings to properly seal as they should. I had the problem on cylinder 1 also had a broken piston witch was hard to see until the motor was disassembled

I have this problem it's usually throttle body sensor and throttle body is dirty you can clean the throttle body air sensor to the left of throttle body, Then throttle body by taking it off be careful don't lose the gasket, Then clean inside tube connection to throttle body as best as possible this code will happen often because of throttle body air sensor getting gunk on it and of course make sure air filter and air filter sensor is clean then reset engine code should be good til it gets dirty again but will take a good while if you do it right.

This is caused from oil getting around the pcv valves then getting sucked through the air intake system then mixing with condensation from the hot/cold air coming from the air intake causing it to gunk up.
