What rod, reel and line did you use to catch these awesome fish!! The first one you acted like nothing happened lol, that thing was an absolutely massive bull trout. I know they get bigger bat man that thing was big.

Why are you targeting a species that is on the ESA threatened list?
@bug50963 ай бұрын
In some places populations are doing well, and thus acceptable to fish. As long as safe handling and barbless hooks are used, fish will be A-OK.

There are more than a few places with very healthy populations, and even some places where it’s legal to keep them.

is there a spot to launch a boat closer to the pens where you were fishing or are you limited to the launch way at the south end?

no way i just came across 2 of your videos randomly. funny i recognized that spot on the cap instantly as well as your bull trout video in the kootenays. crazy that theyre on opposite sides of the p[rovince. Thanks for not giving away exacts locations. Ipost some fishing videos too sometimes. looking to get more active this year. I like your style, where do you get your music? im subscribed to you now.

It's crazy how late you can sometimes still get into these guys. I remember talking to a guy who got 1 the day before Christmas while targeting early-season steelhead.

Lois lake near Powell River. these are escaped farmed steelhead and highly invasive. come here and catch and eat them, it's a big problem. check the regs, the amount you can keep is huge.
