5:32 I see no problem having used the deck screws. But you could’ve still used the pocket holes but just faced them to the outside since you were covering them with the pickets. Great build so far! Happy birthday Denise!!!🎉🎉

I agree, Looking back I could have put the pocket holes on the outside, Honestly I did not think about it at the time. I got in a bit of hurry to complete these. Thank you for watching!!! Denise says "Thank you". 😊

Ideal perennial set-up. Plant once and enjoy forever along with the critters. Also a great start to pollinating an annual vegetable garden. shared to social media. I look forward to seeing your native perennial garden.

Thank you for replying and sharing my video. I am afraid my video skills are not very good, yet. However, I am so excited to see pollinators in this area since it is within 15 feet of our veggie garden.

Nice video Old Dog. Some videos show a Navien Easy valve kit which adds separate valves for the service port/hose outlets. My unit only has 1 isolation valve each for hot and cold water - is that what you have? I'm assuming if there's only one isolation valve each for hot and cold that you just: shut off your Main water valve; open your cold isolation valve, attach hose to sump pump & then to cold water service port; attach hose to hot service port; open hot isolation valve, which prevents water from flowing back into main hot water line going into the house?; then plug in pump and flush for 40 minutes or so? Thanks for your help. Not really sure why they make Easy valve kit when the 'stock' hot/cold isolation valves allow you to flush system?

Thanks. Something like that never would have dawned on me. Ours started burning orangish so I cleaned the orifices which did not help. We had just started our humidifier the day before as well so that is next on the agenda.

Our gas fireplace started burning orange after I turned on a cool mist humidifier to help keep our Christmas tree fresh. Since the orange color is caused by minerals dispersed into the air by the cool mist humidifier, I plan to fix it by using distilled water instead of tap water.

So glad I found your video - I was just about to call a tech after watching other videos all day about fuel/gas ratio and not being able to locate my air shutter adjustments. Didn’t even cross my mind that we just started using a new humidifier last night and that it could be the cause of this. Thanks for saving me a couple hundred bucks! 🤝

Thanks for the info. I live a mile off the lake so my humidity levels get pretty high naturally. I usually run the de-humidifier in the winter to control the condensation on the windows. But my sinuses started acting up at night so I thought I would give the de-humidifier a break. That is about when both my stove and heater started burning orange, not as orange as yours though. Then the next day they were both back to burning blue. I will watch the humidity levels now.

Thanks for the video. We have humidifier and today got up and ran the stovetop and got 1/2 blue and 1/2 orange (all burners). I went on-line and did see one guy mention "humidifier" but he didn't get too specific, especially with regards to "why". I was leaning towards the regulator when I saw your video. It has been about an hour since I cooked my omelet this morning. By now the AC had been running in the kitchen area for several minutes. I turned on one burner and it's just fine, same with the rest. If it quacks like a duck...

Great video. If I tie into my downspout using a diverter, does that act like the first flush and the over flow allowing the leaves and shingle gravel to still flow down the downspout. Thanks

Nothing you can do. It’s either moisture in the air or orange flames. I would try simmering water on the stove. You won’t get orange flames as fast.

I definitely like the 4 inch overflow. I have my overflow on my last barrel in a chain of 4 barrels and when they are full, hard rain backs up into my gutter and pours everywhere. I plan to add another 2” overflow to my intake barrel since I have leftover material from my 2” manifold system. Hopefully that will help. Plan to put some kind of manual diverter on the feed also. Im not running a first flush so pollen season is nasty water.

If your bulkhead fitting where up another two inches, tightening them down enough to flatten the barrel a little would make for a better gasket seal.
