In Hinduism, birth based caste is a superstitious system, however Varna was the original system, in Varna there was no upper or lower, people chose the work of which they are qualified for and according to Bhagavad Gita, anyone can be a Brahman (Teacher, Scholar), Shatriya (Warrior, Army), Vaishya (Trader, Bussiness class), Shudra (Working class) based on knowledge and skills: 🔹In Bhagavad Gita 4:13, Krishna says that he created different Varnas (Profession) on the basis of one's Karma (Activity) and Guna (Quality). 🔹Bhagavad Gita 5:18 "The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater" 🔹Bhagavad Gita 9:29 "I am equally disposed to all living entities: there is neither friend nor foe to Me: but those who with living sentiments render divotional service unto Me, such persons are in Me and I am in them." 🔹Bhagavad Gita 18:41 "The duties of the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras are distributed in accordance with their guṇas (quality) and not by birth. Caste is a Spanish and Portuguese word 'casta' which stands for 'Breed' or 'lineage'. During earlier times Caste use to be Varna (Profession) and based on merit and not by birth, I can give you instances from the ancient times, where a so-called modern day "lower caste" moved to "upper caste", e.g. Guru Valmiki, Kabir Das was from a shudra family but became a brahmin based on merit, etc and btw Ravana, his younger brother Kumbhakarna all were Brahmins knowledgeable person from Northern India but because of their notorious activities all were punished by Rama (believed to be an OBC if we abide by today's caste categorization). Lastly, you have to understand the British motive behind imposing caste: The Caucasians (Europeans) created Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda, Africa, to divide and control the native population, and for this reason, the Rwanda Genocide occurred. The same attempts and inequalities Europeans also tried to create amongst Indians by separating Northern India and Southern India into "Aryans" VS "Dravidians" and further dividing Hinduism into 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub-castes. And also read about Herbert Hope Risley who created casteism, racism in Indian society by one's facial features and skin color, and Bishop Robert Caldwell who propagated the "Aryan Invasion" in Southern India to convert "Dravidians" into Christianity.

Those who consider they are superior by birth are mentally sick
@JD-qj4en2 жыл бұрын
Look at them, they don't even have roads...even the medieval Europeans had roads. How can anyone with even room temperature I.Q believe that they are superior? These are the same street poopers who complain about racism...how ironic.
@JD-qj4en2 жыл бұрын
Edit. Isn't it funny that those that consider themselves to be superior are indistinguishable from those they consider lowly? What exactly makes these 'people' (quotation marks because I don't consider them people) superior? All of them are hideous looking, illiterate, live in shacks and struggle to put food on the table...where's superiority in that? If you are so superior why are you living worse than a 17th century European peasant? Why are you less intelligent than the average man? Why are you so aesthetically unappealing and repugnant looking? @ 8:47 So apparently, in Hinduism it is a sin for low caste and women to enter temples? So your gods are discriminatory and judge people on the basis of an arbitrary caste system made up by men with an ulterior motive to subjugate the masses? People in India respect cows more than their mothers (who need I say kept them in their wombs for 9 months and raised them with love and care)? What an awful and braindead country India is...the whole thing is beyond reason and so baffling.

If you speak against caste system and Rig Veda, there is no blasphemy stricture. Hinduism has been reformed from inside by thousands of popular leaders like Adi Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya, Swami Vivekananda and Dayananda Saraswati. Caste system was abolished in India in 1947 vide constitution. There are reservations for people belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Backward Classes (BCs) in all legislative bodies from village panchayat to Lok Sabha, in Govt. jobs and in educational institutions. The reservation in jobs and edu. insti. are not like 'affirmative action' followed in the US. In India the number of reserved jobs are followed up by roaster registers. Even minimum qualifying marks are lowered for candidates belonging to SC/ ST. These provisions are implemented very strictly.

In all the cases I have visited Pakistan and I didn't feel anything bad, people were very hospitable with me. I have visited christian areas and indeed many christian work in cleaning jobs but it's not because they are christian but it's because they belong to the ancient hindu cast chuhra and they have been working in this field since the hindu raj many centuries ago and they haven't left yet this bad thing. However Pakistan must improve many things but I think culturally they are completely different and more beautiful than Indians.
