How do you determine what size the wristlet should be?
@LaceyIgo
@LaceyIgo 4 ай бұрын
I kind of make 3 sizes. And it was trial and error for me. If I use 15mm beads I use 16 for “small”, 17 or 18 for “medium” and 19 - 20 for “large”

Around the 12:35 marker you can see how I open a jump ring. I close it the same way I open it. Sorry, I don’t make videos often and tried to get the best I could to help others. I struggled when starting to find a simple video to follow and wanted to share what I had learned with others

I'm curious why you don't have your design space set so that you can visualize your medium you are using? I didn't understand why you ran the "frame" thing to see if it would engrave and cut where you wanted. Maybe this option is not available on the Mac version of Lightburn? I don't know. Just seems it would be easier to visualize by having the bed available to view with your graphic on top to show where it would engrave and cut. I'm going to be trying these keychains next. I love the acrylic color! :)

Do you feel that Amazon carries the good quality silicone beads? I often wonder where people that sell them online are purchasing them from.
@LaceyIgo
@LaceyIgo 7 ай бұрын
Yes. I actually buy most my round beads from Amazon and haven’t had an issue. Focal beads, I usually buy from a small company. I sometimes buy round silicone beads from Etsy if I’m looking for a coordinating set. But those do take longer to ship. If I’m just looking for a variety of colors, definitely Amazon.

What do you find to be the best to use for beaded keychains? Elastic or non stretchy cord?
@LaceyIgo
@LaceyIgo Жыл бұрын
I personally like non stretchy. I tried stretchy and just couldn’t get my knots right and they would fall apart. I tested several elastic strings and because I’m not confident in knot tying them I found the nylon string to work great for me.

I'm just learning how to make beaded keychains. I have probably watched 👀 30 different videos 📹 if not more. Needless to say, every single one was a big fat failure for me. I finally found the perfect solution 😍 YOUR VIDEOS 📹 😍 I'm so happy 😊 to announce that I finally made one with your instructions that did not fall apart 😀 😄 😊 I was giving up. After today, I finally see the light at the end ✨️ of the tunnel 🙌 ✨️ 🙏

Are you looking for supplies in bulk? The Nylon thread I have made well over 100 wristlets and keychains with one spool. I JUST bought another spool (which I have not used yet) as I'm almost finished using the one i've had for over 1.5 years. I have all supplies linked in the description. If you buy silicone beads in bulk of 100 - 200 you get a good variety of beads. I also have some sites (not amazon) that I purchase from. I'll do a video on that soon.

@LaceyIgo
@LaceyIgo Жыл бұрын
I do not. I found I wasn't able to tie my elastic tight enough and it would easily break. I test several different elastics too. I just was never able to get the knot tying down. Though i know several people have made it this way.
