I traded in my1.4 turbo rengade turbo 6spd don't use dart 1 4 turbo there problematic the renagde 1.4 turbo have alot of performance tuning engine support and following local racing shop made the first tunes for the renegade and 1 4 turbo aka low key aburth 500 use the renegade turbo 2016 there built better and same engine just built better and reliable never burnt any oil slight bugger turbo there same variant as the aburth bugger turbo slightly cause suv are heavier

Eclipse door handle are a very common thing to break. If you can find good ones at the yard, you should definitely grab them.

Due to the lack of oil in the cam journals, it's more cost effective to find a good working core while they're relatively cheap :)

Those side skirts are OEM, but on a GS-T lol Although Mitsubishi is a Japanese brand, the shell and engine in the non turbo 2g eclipses and talon were made by Chrysler so they’re really just glorified dodge neons, but with that being said I’ve heard rumors about people SRT4 swapping the gs eclipse

I'm always giving him a hard time about that😂 He has spoken of that swap being easier than a 4g, but I think we're gonna work with the 420 while we can as its relatively cheap to mess with thankfully.

The block is the same as the neon but the head is different.

That engine is the 420a they're non interference so I have no idea how the valves got bent lol its possible whenever the put those red timing gears on they didn't align them properly. also the 420a is known for head gaskets and timing belts i have a 96 eclipse RS ive had since high school so ive been through it...multiple times lol

You sure they're non interference? I've not found anything on it. Not sure what else could cause the pistons to have the valve wear on them😅 Is yours still stock or have you modified it any? Seems the 2g consensus is to just buy a turbo car.

@NedacSnosrap I thought they were non interference I guess I'm wrong lol. Mines a 96 eclipse RS it's basically just stock other than random bolt ons, exhaust, intake, and a msd coil and wires (not tuned or anything) if you're looking to make power they do make turbo kits for the 420a but you're better off buying one that's factory 4g63 IF you can find one that isn't in 500 pieces or under 3 million on Marketplace lol

I did the headers and the EGR delete while swapping mine with the engine in. honestly did not think the headers would happen but was nicely surprised that nothing was rusted or seized while pulling things apart

I just want to note that you should be careful of blowing the hole too much as you can make yourself extra work if those have hoses in the pillars and if they get knocked off by shooting too much air.
