Amazing band and my favourite since 1965. So many talented musicians during their long standing career (1963 - 2018).

Asked the hippie in his pot smoke filled record store what he had like Tom Petty. He was Good at picking good stuff out for me. Turned me on to John Cougar with "I need a Lover" on it. It was magic to my ears for some reason. Still sound good after all the years. Then stationed in Japan in the Navy played the song This is Japan a million times. Great memories.

The video says onscreen that LSD was originally about the British pound? That's the first time I've seen that anywhere. Can finslaw's faves please elaborate on that? I'm sure a lot of us would be interested.

Had it recorded on a VHS.. when I was about 22 (1988) my nieces and nephews spent the night with my mom their grandmother of course I still lived at home and we watched this movie and they still talk about it to this day. Yeah, I was their cult movie loving uncle.. play thank me for it now 😁

Interesting comments on why they never were bigger than they were. Get The Picture is pretty perfect. Along with the Yardbirds, Kinks and Them, they had the biggest influence on a multitude of U.S. garage bands.

8:04 Murray Hamilton (Mayor Vaughn from Jaws) is standing behind Jane Powell. This was his first film, although he was uncredited for the part. He would have been 19 or 20 years old depending on when this was shot.

It's weird that the Friday the 13th movies copied A Bay of Blood more than a decade later, yet the kills are both gorier and done with better effects in A Bay of Blood
@markalexander36596 ай бұрын
Yeah, "Blood and Black Lace"'s original Italian title translates to "6 Women for the Killer". It's a testament to how good the movie is that when it came out, despite people knowing how many people died* and the trailer for the movie even shows the order in which the characters die, but viewers didn't care because the film was still so entertaining. *technically more if you include the killers (been a while since I saw this, I can't remember if they both die or just the woman)

Why do you recommend not watching the MST3K version of Danger: DIabolik?
@finslaw3 ай бұрын
I love that version and the whole "ending of MST3K" plot. However, I don't recommend it as the first watch of the film.
