I have lived in Erdington all my 59 years (live in my late parents house) I remember as a kid walking up grange road to Erdington with my mates to go shopping Spent all my money in Woolworths I used to meet my late mother in Owen Owen in the restaurant with her work colleagues There used to be offices above Burtons then My dad died in 2002 and it was a few years before since I went into Erdington so so over 25 years The high street was going down the pan with many dodgy shops covering up for drugs and spurious dealings I would not feel safe 🥴🥴☹️☹️😖😖🫤🫤😠😠👎👎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

So much more cleaner and well kept much more better then handsworth in handsworth got lot of flytipping and rubbish just dumped outside people's houses Sutton coldfiled and handsworth is very different in so many ways

I have lived in handsworth for about almost a year now and i have been offered a really nice brand know self contained flat there in Sutton coldfiled i be live over there in about 3. Mouths time can't wait get out shitty handsworth what a dump it is in handsworth looking forward too the move too Sutton

Does anybody remember the club above Burtons.

The last time I walked down Erdington High Street, there was a picture house on the left. My grandparents had a café in Station Road on the left after the bridge and we used to go to ABC every Saturday morning.

I used to go to a shop called b&m i got a whoopee cushion(thats the town where i live in)

I currently live here and it is very depressing but theyre currently rebuilding it and making town better

It's all North Birmingham.

Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed watching this! I have been here once before and enjoyed it but it seems like they have definitely made some changes for the better! Many years ago I visited this place with a friend and was approached by a disgusting member of staff for touching one of the exhibits but was only pointing to some details and not touching - I do hope by now some of the staff are more polite - Its a very interesting walk around !!!

Lived here all my life and the town is run down and horrible now, the market is rubbish compared to how it used to be. Nice video though.

I was brought up on Balmoral Rd 1975-92 when I joined the Army, haven’t been back for years, Wilton Market and all the shops have changed. Shame about the fire damage to the church, thanks for the walk down memory lane.
