Trading standards, with the police visited last year. I came to see if that affected the atmosphere for this year.

Coventry road has become a joke how is it fair for businesses who pay rates and rents when people start setting up stalls all over the place. Then traffic becomes gridlocked were cars are parked blocking side roads the council needs to think about keeping roads safe for all.

Unfortunately, Ramadhan is now just a big money making party for these trouble makers. The principles of Islam are lost on these people. Don't disrespect others ...

Police should fine them all heavily. The traffic congestion and inconvenience to local people living there is unacceptable

Went there tonight Travel Walks. There were less stalls... assuming from what happened last year. I wasn't impressed tbh with the atmosphere compared to previous years. Too many people, Too much traffic congestion making it difficult for locals in the community. I was here last year and it was absolutely havoc and the year before it was ok. But if we need to have a Ramadan street food environment it has to be done properly, organised and we need to look after the community as other countries have it as well but it's done properly.

I Will try and go see how it is this Ramadan on a weekend or when I am off in half term. It was chaotic with the stalls set up on the pathways. It seems like they've set up just In front of the shops, allowing the footpath to be clear, which is good. It seems better organised compared to last year but it's still early days. These illegal stalls should be demolished and the culprits fined heavily. Businesses shouldn't be obstructing roads and pavements including stalls and cars. This is causing chaos and these Arab Muslims need to get their act together. Police and council should take joint action. We are Muslims not animals, respect the neighbourhood especially during Ramadhan. Shame on the people doing this !

It's thanks to Allah and the Arabs that the Muslim dawah has increased and number of converts sky rocketed in recent decade. Let's face it, your people are extremely traditional, segregated, and uninviting to Islam. That's been the case since the 60s. You stick to your business and traditions, and what did that do for Islam? It's like the fool who claims to keep Islam private at home. I get that it's not Islamic to spread havoc and dirt in the streets, so we need to spread awareness, educate these people and keep it clean and civilised. It's events like this that makes people curious about Islam and Ramaḍān in particular. FYI, all these stalls are now legal, and paid for.
