The clip you showed of the previous trip looked like you were wearing trainers?

Those shoes, are they Hoka Speedgoats? I am through my second pair of the wide model of that shoe, great walking in these shoes but what annoys me is, how fast the soles lose their profile, so that shoe with a little bit harder sole would be fantastic.

I use Keen Newports if I'm on a canoe trip or will have many water crossings on a hike. I used to use the Keens as a camp shoe, but recently switched to a proper recovery shoe and got a pair of Salomon Reelax Slid 6.

Not for everyone, I do carry. Taurus makes a really nice backpacker carry with the G4 micro or G3c 9mm. Under 300 dollars for either. Carry is just never breached on hiker channels. Some may enjoy the info. Thanks for your share. I do like those pants!

Yes! a small pack towel is a necessity for so many uses. I bring a 2nd larger one if I suspect a dip is a possibility. I'm a subscriber and not sure how I missed this short.

Hi, I use the nu25, my experience is they somehow discharge when not in use. I make sure I out a full charge before I hike. I have noticed this for 2 years. Certainly cool how lite weight, but, not sure it's dependable,

I've used the disposable nitrile gloves under my fingerless gloves during spring fishing and in the winter snowblowing when I need extra warmth, but also need the dexterity that i cannot get with full cold weather gloves. I"ve found that they will make your hands sweat under glove liners during winter activities.

Great video thanks. Weird that the cnoc broke I’ve been using mine for about a year on a lot of trips and it’s been rock solid. It did taste like rubber from the get go though so his may not be degrading it maybe just the way they are. I got rid of the taste by filling it up with lemon juice and baking soda then I put it in the freezer for a couple of days. It’s tasted fine ever since

Why do you keep going at freezing cold times lol. In colder temps I think it makes more sense to come in from the bear rocks / east coast side and avoid the red creek crossing

Great to watch you @ Dolly Sods. Was wonderful to see the fun you had! Its my fave hike from when i was young. I grew up in WV and it was such a great place to learn. I'm in MA now and I do think about returning to hike eventually. Silly fact I remember from grade school WV history...Dolly Sods is the only space in the USA that has plants found in the Arctic Tundra.
