It's basically grooming people to be Marxists. It's not for "the greater good" , it's just organising people into a worldview by subverting their thinking. Originated by Paulo Freire and developed by other child cult groomers.

would it possible to use critical pedagogy as a theoretical framework , still show some reservations about what it assumes?

5:44 - Welcome to my world in the USA! Once at university I told a very left leaning activist prof of mine that I felt oppressed in all the student debt I had in order to take her courses. She seemed sympathetic. Then, I told her I was not able to pay back the loan and thus her salary would be diminished. Her next words were "DIE YOU DEADBEAT BUM!"

I think everything is so designed that as a teacher I have a heavy workload and endless assessments that makes me too tired to "fight" for a better system.

It’s not “oppressive” to have to pay for college. It’s not a right, it’s a privilege. Not everybody can or should get a college education, especially when they’re churning out sjw’s that hate their countries and want to see the systems of capitalism and democracy burned to the ground. I don’t want massive amounts of my money taxed and contributing to that. Marxists sure do complain a lot. Stop brainwashing people into thinking they’re oppressed when they’re clearly not, and keep that bullshit out of our schools. Y’all are literally ruining our countries, and our children’s minds.

This was homework for me. (Just reflecting on my educational experience.) Understanding Taoism and Sociology greatly helps internalize the concepts vocalized here. Thoughts?

Thank you for this video on Critical Pedagogy! I am brushing up on my knowledge and understanding of this theoretical canon. What stands out is that the work of Freire, Giroux and Baum’s helps us to be mindful of understanding oppression and hegemony and how we can understand on how we can help others realize their agency and personal transformation.

Care to explain what you mean by ‘agency’? Although fascinated by critical pedagogy, I’m trying to find reason for studying of critical pedagogy beyond the critic of power structures.

Seems like your very stressed by this situation. Did you really want to end up Leading a degree? I thought you were aiming to analyze and be critical of different educational systems.
