bro whats crazy i am looking for a similar game too, i came across urs thinking it was the game its not, the one im looking for is similar in gameplay and function mostly except u have different types of dragons like ice dragon fire crystal dragon but i think u actually play as a sorcerer or mage type character but its a lil older than this one so not quite the same travel system, its crazy cause i was only 9 or 10 years old been looking for that game for ages im 33 now. but if i ever find it again ll know it. it was really good, kinda like a mix between that game with the dragons but u click on the next point on the map to go to and then u and your party walk along and u may get ambushed or meet a wild dragon or enemy mage. its very cool game imay have to check this one out thos its a lil better graphics and movement looks neat.

Ride 5 has been out for some time, much better feeling game. Also ride is not meant to be realistic, Its the forza of bike games. MotoGP 24 is better on the realism side but still arcade like because you have to use controller, there are plenty of games like gp bikes that try to be simulators but i don't like them. As a rider i find these games very enjoyable, not because they are realistic but because i just like bikes and games like this allow me to fuck around with bikes on track without having to spend $1000 on a track day, tires, brakes, transport etc.
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын

@8Rider65 ай бұрын
Motorcycle games have really never translated well to games. You're missing so much of the physical experience, the typical feedback you rely on really riding a bike is just missing. And that's not even getting into body positioning being completely missing too. I think a decent experience could be made with a fake bike with controls and articulated on suspension with VR, but outside of that, most motorcycle racing games just feel like the input is delayed and disconnected. Oddly, I found Project Gotham Racing 3 to have some of the best "feel" of motorcycles in a video game.
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
Yes, and to get that feel, you might as well spend a bit more money and buy a real bike than go nuts with Sim tech
@8Rider65 ай бұрын
@@wayhaykid Yep, to get a decent sim setup would probably be at least $5-10k. Plenty of bikes you can buy for that money or less. Only thing for those of us with winters is we can't really ride half of the year and track season is often only May to September (only 4 months). Might be nice having a Sim setup in those months, lol.
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
@8Rider6 haha well if I magically fall in a pit of money, I will have a basement full of simulators for sure. Reach out my car window and grab some popcorn lmao

i want to like this game, but i dislike it because ive been riding for 12 years. got 23k miles on my 2019 rebel 500. theres just not a good way to translate riding into games, and that sucks
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
I could not agree more. I was just talking to my friend about how games or videos can never capture speed as well as we would like. I will say, the full simulators for car based games get a lot closer.
@8Rider65 ай бұрын
Yep, only thing I think could come close is a fake motorcycle with controls and on hydraulics to articulate momentum and leaning and allow for body position changes along with a VR headset. Aside from that everything just feels delayed, disconnected and sloppy with a controller.

Good looking bike and a great review. The windshield does make a difference. I found with mine if I pre load the quickshifter a second before I change up or down, it changes even smoother. Lots of accessories are becoming available for it, too.
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
Thanks! That means a lot! That's a pretty good idea to pre load it. I think I may have accidentally done that before because sometimes it does actually hit 2nd and 3rd smooth, but it was very rare lol. That makes a lot of sense though. There are so many things I want to add to the bike and it's gonna be fun every step of the way. Have you decided on any performance upgrades?
@lost-again5 ай бұрын
@wayhaykid The akrapovic exhaust is well worth thinking about. It's a bit pricy but made a big difference in the sound and looks. Also, there is a small rear mud guard that sits close to the wheel and helps prevent water and crap from the road on a wet day, splashing up your back. There are also bar risers that help with the posture of the bike. Oh, and bar end mirrors that look cool as well.
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
@lost-again oh man, I was actually aiming for that exhaust. It sounded so good and was actually cheaper than the Arrow. Only thing keeping me waiting a bit was that I'd like to have the ecu tuned as well. Those mirrors are a good idea and do add a sleek look to the bike.

Hey, thank you! I find it very forgiving and have only had the front wheel off the ground once, just to see where it jumps. I will say that I have never lifted the front tire while naturally accelerating in 2nd through 6th. You can wheelie on it. But only if you want it to. Very tame beast hehe. Motorcycles are still barely getting antilock breaks, digital speedometers, disk breaks, fuel injectors... there are still bikes that are new with carbs, drums, incandescent lights, and so on, except they have to give up power to meet emissions standards. Games are just "go here, collect thing and so on." And then companies that were known for pushing boundaries aren't even trying aymore. Even Rockstar is like "we better censor our stuff." It is quite similar.

Nice bike! Did you get it right after MSF? Going to do MSF this coming weekend and been searching bikes and such. Against all recommendations I “think” what I really want is something like this. I’m in my thirties and know I can control the urges specially with that Mode C as a safeguard. How has it been for you as a first bike so far? Just feels it’d keep me happy for longer and would have enough buffer if I need to overtake on the highway compared to the 400cc stuff that usually gets recommended. I mean MT 07 is really close to this power wise yet somehow it is deemed ok for a beginner but not rhis one even though MT 07 doesn’t have riding modes or traction control. What do you think? This is the only video of a gsx 8s as first bike I found on KZbin, and I’ve been searching all over!
@wayhaykid5 ай бұрын
Oh man! I've actually got a review on the bike coming out tomorrow (5/13)! I took and passed the MSF about a month after I got the bike. I think it's a might fine bike. I've put 2500 miles on it and have really no complaints. It's very manageable in C, and you can work your way up to A instead of buying a slower bike. I will have way more to say about it in my video. I'm sorry I didn't see this comment until 6 days later lol

To me the injection make it feel less snappy than my carb bike, but admittedly is probably faster but smoother. Doesn't matter at the end of the day, teenagers still kick my ass on either.
