Love my 24 8S. Tell me you’ve done the airbox mod. Stage one takes 10 mins and makes a giant difference. 😊

As you said in the beginning all that matters is that it exceeded or met your expectations and that you look awesome riding it

Good looking bike and a great review. The windshield does make a difference. I found with mine if I pre load the quickshifter a second before I change up or down, it changes even smoother. Lots of accessories are becoming available for it, too.

Thanks! That means a lot! That's a pretty good idea to pre load it. I think I may have accidentally done that before because sometimes it does actually hit 2nd and 3rd smooth, but it was very rare lol. That makes a lot of sense though. There are so many things I want to add to the bike and it's gonna be fun every step of the way. Have you decided on any performance upgrades?

@wayhaykid The akrapovic exhaust is well worth thinking about. It's a bit pricy but made a big difference in the sound and looks. Also, there is a small rear mud guard that sits close to the wheel and helps prevent water and crap from the road on a wet day, splashing up your back. There are also bar risers that help with the posture of the bike. Oh, and bar end mirrors that look cool as well.

@lost-again oh man, I was actually aiming for that exhaust. It sounded so good and was actually cheaper than the Arrow. Only thing keeping me waiting a bit was that I'd like to have the ecu tuned as well. Those mirrors are a good idea and do add a sleek look to the bike.

If I had only watched this video, I would’ve never bought me a Harley hog. Way to go Wayhay.

Very good review. I also thought about getting a windscreen like this for the 8S

Thank you! It's not perfect but it's great for doing what it's supposed to. Just add a little baffle at highway speeds :)

Break in miles, oil change, and 2wheeldynoworks ECU flash will have that quickshifter working like butter....everywhere. Side effect is 88 hp 62 ft-lb at the wheel (with installed stuff).
@wayhaykid3 ай бұрын
Thank you for that. I want to go that direction, just wasn't sure what tune to go. TST had a program, but I will look into your recommendations. Again, thank you!

@@wayhaykid Another suggestion is Vcyclenut. He's got great experience in tuning, has worked with this model extensively.

Good video! I was wondering if you've felt the throttle to be forgiving, especially in mode A, to input mistakes or feel like the bike just wants to flip? I haven't ridden it yet but very interested! Thanks!
@wayhaykid3 ай бұрын
Hey, thank you! I find it very forgiving and have only had the front wheel off the ground once, just to see where it jumps. I will say that I have never lifted the front tire while naturally accelerating in 2nd through 6th. You can wheelie on it. But only if you want it to. Very tame beast hehe. It's nothing like a 4 cylinder high rpm 600. Very low end torque and flattens out after 8k

Didn't notice that windscreen initially, other than the obvious main functionality I feel it adds a lot to enhance the look, specially on an all black bike, so much better than the usual blue. Does that affect your night vision at all?
@wayhaykid3 ай бұрын
Nope! Even leaned completely forward, it doesn't ever get in the way of my vision. You can always get it in lighter variants as well as clear
