So many gems here! I like "shup up and work and work and work all the time and produce and produce and produce. and the more you produce, your character or your talent will emerge (...) make enough things to choose from" ✶⋆.˚ Very inspirational

How he speaks to paying one's dues translates to any industry. I tell assistant and junior hairstylists this all the time; you have got to work work work until uou GET IT. And then work harder. Lol. So much of what is wrong w this new generation of (in my industry) stylists, is that they grew up on TikTok and come out of beauty school not understanding why they aren't charging $300 a haircut right off the bat. They can't fathom being at the salon til 11pm or working days off, either. I'm so grateful that I came up in a time where I HAD to pay my dues, and mentors had no thoughts about my "feelings". At the time it felt mean lol ... But as I came into my own in my industry, I realized that they were toughening me up, while sharpening my skills. I did soooo much hair for free or next to free for so long. Theae kids absolutely can't fathom it.

I love Rick's aesthetic.... Unique, raw, understated and in your face at the same time, and unapologetic!!! If I could afford to, I would own a lot of his work.

Quand j'entends Pierre Bergé, quand je l'écoute je me dis finalement qu'il ne se légitime qu'en parlant de YSL de Bernard BUFFET, ou de Pierre Cardin. Personne n'aurait entendu parler sans ces artistes.

Of course she would speak more fluently in her native language. I wish i understood French much better. i’m sure her French conversation is intense and arresting and beautiful. I love her…..she’s unapologetically unbridled. Fasacinating.

Rick Owens reminds me so much of the ecclectic hippies I grew up around in Northen California. The laid back outlook, & the belief that everything will work itself out as it should. Much respect to you Rick Owens, you have given me a new appreciation for the fashion industry. I can't afford the clothes, but I love layering & could pretty much take inspiration from his shows, shop my closet, & revamp my current look over & over.

you can tell the difference between a real master at his craft and a modern day imposter immediately when they start talking about their work. So many clear insights. Nowadays, these new "designers" just want the lifestyle and not the work. When they talk, you hear it in their voice that they dont even know what they are talking about. The rick aesthetics aint for me but respect.

All rick is, is a normal ass dude trying to make minimalistic clothes. Yeah I don't buy them either retail is way too expensive and these brands value cheap leather and fur from like horses lol so why not buy replica. Regardless he even stated in this interview, I would be doing this even if I was poor
