No, I welcome AI because it's going to FILTER OUT ALL THE 'CREATIVES' WHO ARE NOT ACTUALLY ARTISTS. Which is about 90% of the people who call THEMSELVES 'artists' who are NOT Artists. We are actually very rare, not common. YOU are what's common, as is AI. That which is common will always be commodity. For this reason alone, neither are Art anymore Kincaids work is (it isn't, people bought worthless junk).

it's surprising that out of most videos I watched about this film no one really commented on the very important line that Daniel says in the film "when we have looked everywhere and still dont understand how the thing happened I think we have to ask why it happened"... derived from what the film postulates that truth maybe unknowable but instead of concentrating on what is inaccessible perhaps the only truth that should matter is on the larger narrative or why rather than the how. And perhaps we can apply this to almost anything in life.

If a bomb was used for this assassination with lots of victims, bodyparts, blood and chaos, this surprising sympathy for a terrorist wouldn't have happened. That's why I'm a bit surprised You compare the case with a bomber, without explaining, that in those years police forces were ready to shoot into the mass of demonstrators. I find the illustration has much more an 80ies touch, when activists flyers and posters usually were multiplied with analog bw copiers. Printing in colors was too expensive and using a font was restricted to the available typewriter. Were living in the most interesting of weird times. Even as lower class contemporary I sometimes feel honored being witness to so much change. Happy New Year, stay healthy, and seek help before losing Your minds!

Both Visa and Mastercard admitted to Congress that their profit margins were above 50%. But will Congress do anything? I think not. America will continue to be fleeced by them at a 29% interest rate. Welcome to a manufactured debt-based society. "The ingredients you got, bake the cake you get "

Capitalism rewards the maximization of profit, often at the expense of moral considerations. Those who most effectively exploit resources, workers, and markets are the ones who thrive. Mutual respect is secondary, if considered at all. While capitalism styles itself as a meritocracy, its measure of “merit” is ultimately reduced to dollars. This system disproportionately rewards those most willing to dominate, subordinate, and exploit others, reinforcing a cycle of power and inequality. Though the accident of birth and inherited privilege undoubtedly play significant roles in determining one’s starting position, it is the willingness-and often the ruthlessness-to exploit others that confers further “merit” in industrial capitalism.

I don't think the painting is very good. It is dramatic and designed to perhaps be a tear-jerker. But as a work of art it leaves a lot to be desired. Therefore I must conclude that is is contrived, and not in a good way. The literal story of the subject matter should never be asked to do the lion's share of the work towards becoming a good painting. Instead, all the painterly qualities should do this job. Anyone who highly values this particular painting either doesn't understand good painting, or is allowing some personal meaning of the subject to fog their view of it as a work of art.

Hybristophilia is a paraphilia involving sexual interest in and attraction to those who commit crimes. It is a mental disorder. This is not my opinion. The DSM-5 is the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders used by The American Psychological Association. It is the largest psychological association in the world. The DSM-5 classifies Hybristophilia as a paraphilic disorder.

I came here after watching it several times on Instagram, it's been used as a meme to visualise someone naive (the man) asking someone wise (the skeleton) to give him advice about life, I don't think it's a bad thing I actually like it, it also serve to keep old works memorable and educate the young generation, also great video.

Thank you for this video, I plan to publish a response to include my critiques to your arguments. In short, I will list some of them below: "As long as AI Art can't give deeper meaning or engagement to an image, no matter how beautiful it is, it'll remain illustration." - Paintings do not, by their very existence, give deeper meaning or engagement to an image; humans do that. In the creation of AI Generative Art, it requires the input of a written text prompt. Writing is inherently an act of creation, and that prompt is exactly what points to a person's intention in creating that AI Generative work of art. * As to your choice to separate Art and Illustration, I completely disagree with that notion. There are many reasons I disagree with your separation, but the main reason is that Art can be entertaining, boring, meaningful or meaningless. Creation is an impulse, and we typically create visuals first far before we can ever explain them. If Art exists only to send a message, then it is propaganda. Art includes propaganda, but art is not solely propaganda. If Art only exists to serve the continuance of "social conversation, a broader reflection, a deeper meaning or intention" then it will only be propaganda. Many artists create without ever interpreting their works, which according to your definition, is not art because there is no deeper meaning, intention, broader reflection, or call to social conversation. This framework is inherently flawed for many reasons, but I will save further expansion for a full written piece and/or video essay. Trust me, as someone who spends all his free time writing and interpreting works of art, I exist solely to find the deeper meaning in each and every image. * In part, I believe your view is quite skewed by your political frame of view. The first half of the video is more heavily focused on your critique of Capitalism, and I disagree with that notion. Profitability is a reflection of public preference, and while it undoubtedly is shaped by the economic system it exists within, the popular preference of the public ultimately shapes the direction of art. Living in a non-Capitalist system will not change the underlying reality that people prefer certain topics and themes over others. * Just my initial thoughts, and the remaining will be saved for a future written piece and/or video essay to be published as a direct response.

So I definitely understand what your are talking about & definitely check out Perfect Day. Thank you.

Let me make it clear about what capitalism really is. It is the most morally correct system on the planet! Because true capitalism assigns the greatest amount of wealth to those who solved humanity's problems. A excellent modern version of real capitalism is Elon Musk. He figured out how to bring all the elements together to make electric vehicles workable. He solved the riddle of how to make zero emissions vehicles possible. As a result, he made considerable amounts of money and those who are assisting him, meaning his employees at Tesla, are reciving a good wage and they deserve it. They solved a problem that we the people believed needed to be solved. So yes they get boatloads of money. And what is he doing with those boatloads of money going after other problems that humanity is looking for a solution too like how to traverse the vastness of space. It's hard to respect someone who's simply parrots. The mindless b******* that certain college professors trying to maintain they're long obsoleted, excessive wages come up with.

Clearly, you don't understand capitalism. It has been a much greater value to the working man, then to the ruling elite. You may want to educate yourself. To understand what real capitalism is, we are not living in the capitalist economy. I believe it was Adam Smith who wrote the definitive book on capitalism, and in that book, he pointed out that when skilled labor it's in short supply the capitalist solution it's to raise wages. That is not happening, because we lived in something closer to socialism communism, fascism Monarchy etc...
