Hello, I think you want to control your bodies with initial conditions in solver and size is wrong. For each degree of freedom you need two sizes. If rigid body only has x translation, then you only need 2 Size (Start and End Position) in Solver. Example: You have two rigid bodies. Body 1 with Kinematics - Rotation about Z and Body 2 with Translation x and y. So the size for Solver - Initial conditions must be: 3 (x, y, rz) * 2 = 6. Initial state with Size 6: Value Start Position Rotation Z Value Start Position X Value Start Position Y Value End Position Rotation Z Value End Position X Value End Position Y Or deaktivate the Initial conditions by solver and use on individual by bodies. Nice tutorial. However, most of the keywords can be added using the built-in Keyword editor, and then the analysis can be started normally from inside PrePoMax.

Yes, I also tested that in the video before, with rubber buffers. Works very well. It was earlier a little bit complicated to install CalculiX, now I can use PrePoMax, portable. Thanks for your work)

Can the contact detection not take care of the gap into and out of contact by itself?

Gap is only relationship between two nodes. For interaction between nodes do you need to difine gap distance. By (normal) contact conditions is contact tolerance - min. distance to search for contact between contact pair.
