I have the XW-1, yeah I find it a little bit weaker on the bass side, so I usually pump the bass knob. So can the xw-1 sound like xw-2? Also does the xw-2 got rid of the activation latency (dead audio)?

The XW-2 has a bit more character to it for sure. I never liked a lot of knobs. I always want something that "gets up and goes" out of the box.
