Love the content! Nice to see the channel expanding and showing how passionate people are about repairing instruments.

Loved the instrument stories towards the end and the technique discussions! The favorite tool was fun as well. Now I want to know if the tools have names. 😊

I did this to my cello, but now the sound is lacking. Did I put it back together wrong? Reusing the same strings as before. Trying to line up the bridge just right. Does the relation to sound post matter much?
@JoyleiaJo20 күн бұрын
I'm also worried I'm putting my bridges back in the wrong place. Cello vs violin?
@JoyleiaJo20 күн бұрын
It's 2 yrs later now, and I just found this channel! I would ❤ like to see how you cut a bridge for a cello. What tools do you use? Can i use felt under the feet rather than cutting to shape? I'm a starving musician and have no tools. Can you reset the bridge with the old strings, or does the bend in the string from the old bridge hamper the sound?

Do you think disturbing the solder on a 70's Deluxe guitar devalues it in any way assuming you keep the original Mini's?

Fantastic work. I am no guitar player but I love to see expert craftsmanship in any field. I also like the longer start to finish videos. Thanks.

Hi. I watched in the hope of finding an answer to a question that clearly no one asks. Those P90 have the magnets offset. IE there is more magnet toward the end farthest from where the cable exits. The bridge is more exaggerated than the neck, at least in the pair I have. So which way around were they intended to go? I'd assume that you'd get more top or bottom from the more magnet pole. Is it simply that the cable goes toward the pots. That's what I've done previously and their humbucker with the logo do obviously go that way. This would mean the magnet is offset toward the low E Anybody??

Thank you! I got me one of those for Xmas, I already play guitar so I knew there had to be some setup involved, I honestly eyeballed it because I really wanted to play already but I wanted to learn to do it correctly for my next string change. Wish you had gone a little deeper with the bridge measurement but anyway now I have a very good general idea of what needs to be done, thank you very much!

When you narrate a project, the fun part is to listen to what you're thinking while you are doing it. Things you picked up along your learning curve to avoid type stuff.
