Very UK 'tribal' sound of the early 80s, Theatre of hate, Southern death cult and Sex gang children amongst others employed the same sound. ...oh yeah and Adam & the Ants + Bowwowwow did it too. Who says punk had no originality?

Notice George's sense of humour lasts about 5 seconds as ken starts ripping into him...see George's fake smile as he hates having the piss ripped out of him..."have you finished" ? He says to ken as he feels he is being teased for at least 5 seconds....

A truly awful version of this song full of unnecessary horns and backing vocals and everyone gets a chorus bonhomie IMO the acoustic version which appears on the style councils first EP is vastly superior featuring one of wellers most heartfelt vocals and a much simpler arrangement. Seek it out it is one of Paul’s finest moments
