Would you need to upgrade the crutch fork at all? I'm upgrading my hydraulics but it'd be cool to replace the clutch when I pull the trans here soon. Nice video man thank you

I went with 350Z for my n/a '86 cuz it fits better in the stock location vs turbo and 87+ Z31's that need to grind the tension bracket or replace with one from the z store. What kind of crank pulley/harmonic balancer are you running? I didn't know Ross made any more the 12v engines lol. Great video man. Subscribed ^_^

It’s a Ross performance trigger kit, it had the harmonic balancer with it.

Whoever told you, you don't need to connect the MAP sensor to the inlet manifold sounds like an utter Muppet. I mean the clue is in the name: *MANIFOLD* Absolute Pressure sensor 😂 Unless they were talking about running Alpha-N, like with individual throttle bodies. In which case, load is calculated from rpm and throttle position.
@FatalRPM
@FatalRPM 15 күн бұрын
I was initially running Alpha-N so I would assume its probably the latter.

What a great idea! It's becoming difficult to get clutches for some of the old-timey cars us car guys love! How much did it cost?
@FatalRPM
@FatalRPM 15 күн бұрын
After all's said and done it's about 1k usd. That's with some costly shipping coming from AU so if there's a US distributor, you can save a bit there more than likely.

You are way better off renting the Uhaul Truck and trailer together. I know they rent pickup trucks but not sure if they have hitches. Did you just modify a rented truck or do you own that Ram 1500? yeah, you kinda screwed up on the homework part! But i've been considering the exact same move so i'm interested in following this along.
@FatalRPM
@FatalRPM Ай бұрын
A one way rental on the U-Haul was about 3x the price of the truck. I was even considering just getting a U-Haul after the truck started having issues until I saw the price was over $500. The reason I had gone this route is because I’ve done it before, just didn’t know dodge made the changes to their hitches because they had a regular receiver when I did before.

@FatalRPM
@FatalRPM Ай бұрын
That’s crazy, idky Dodge doesn’t just spring for the extra $15 of production cost to include the little receiver with the truck?! I was lucky enough to get a dodge classic as a replacement so I was able to use the hitch I bought no problem. I love these new Rams but jeez, wtf 😭

Are you using a foot pedal with your TIG? You’re inspiring me to try making my own manifolds!!!
@FatalRPM
@FatalRPM Ай бұрын
Technically yes, but it’s just an on/off switch. I got it instead on of the switch on the torch to maintain my dexterity when welding since I found it a little awkward to hold the torch and switch while welding, personally.
@ronskopitz2360
@ronskopitz2360 Ай бұрын
@ cool - thanks! I need to look into getting a pedal. I’ve only ever done “lift TIG” which is a bit awkward and prone to welding your tungsten to the piece :)

Don't push that motor over 400 bc u end up being like all the honda guys and break something every week..and those cars have open diff and bad steering angle..iv had 260z 280zx 300zx your gen...u got lot of work but iv made 3000gt ,cressida,mr2,sc400,is300 all look cool as daily rockets...if need advice I'll respond .not use megasquirt emu black and couple main ones..run speed speed density map and dial I'm map sensor and 02 sensor 8 to 12 inch away from your turbo down pipe...use egt at same spot
@FatalRPM

I’ve tried my best to prepare parts for the car to do more than 400, but not much more. I plan on swapping to an lsd as I’m going for usable power. Someone else fabricated my down pipe but the O2 sensor seems to hit your suggestion. I was thinking of doing an get at some point but i need to get an iat more importantly 😅

Thank you for this information. It was very helpful. Unfortunately the video itself was extremely annoying, because it was so jumpy. If you want to become a great KZbinr, minimize the panning, and keep the panning slow if you must pan, and use a tripod, or at least some type of steady cam unit, so it's not bouncing around (for a lot of it, I couldn't watch it, I just listened to your excellent commentary; you have a nice voice, too, and I appreciate what you told us, thank you, but I had to keep freezing it to look at the video). You have great content and an nice attitude and manor that's easy to listen to. Fixing the camera work could really help your KZbin count. Sorry this is negative, but I hope it helps you and that you become a great KZbinr.
