I can imagine myself lying in a dark, bathtub and I feel the blood flowing from the veins I cut, mix with warm water. In the dark, all the senses are only sensitive to pain, and that feeling when this tormented soul slowly detaches from this broken body. It's truly a great depiction for those who thought they had it bad that it could be worse. We like to think we're owed something by entering this world, when in reality we almost don't even deserve this world we stand on. Look at us, we hardly follow a moral compass now, we need someone to do something already. Our youth is failing, our I.Q's are dropping and more people have hated god than ever. Why are we doing this to ourselves, I can't imagine Satan is capable of all this.

It fills me with a deep sense of longing.. for things to be different. Better. To grow up in a good loving home with parents who see and treat you as the apple of their eye. Weekends with grandparents. Family gatherings. Making your first friend on the playground. Falling in love for the first time. But in reality, your family was cursed from the start, and above all, people die, leave, or time pulls you apart. Now you go to graveyards instead of gatherings. You go out to dinner alone and avoid the eyes from other tables. You sit at home rather than go out with friends. You paint an acceptable image for the public and hope to make a friend based on look or common interest, but it’s impossible compared to you were a child when it was so easy to just be friends and go on adventures and play dates. Time really does rob us all. It pushes forward whether you are ready or not. Loneliness. Longing. Despair. So much emotion and depth in one song.
