I’m interested in making this with a print and cut image but how do you get the image to not completely cut around?
@thenoncraftycrafter3 ай бұрын
@@kristenbadar9108 You need to flatten the image onto the card base. Select the print image and the card base layers and click Flatten. Then attach the score lines.
@rositaflorecita96472 ай бұрын
@thenoncraftycrafter I did that but now the whole square and image cuts out completely
@kmorgan83832 ай бұрын
@@rositaflorecita9647 not sure if this will help, as I did the same thing. But after you've selected the pieces to unite & united them. Then select the image & the united card, and flatten them. Then you can select the other stuff (or select the whole thing and attach. I believe it's all in the order in which you do the different steps that will give you your results But I'm guessing Narelle could explain better than I. (hope this helps...) It helped me to do one with just a pen sketch first for practice.
@rositaflorecita96472 ай бұрын
@kmorgan8383 thank you I tried that but the slice result flatens as well and if I attempt to unite the flaten bottom with the image and unite with the top panel and cut is won't let me the option is unable
@thenoncraftycrafter2 ай бұрын
@@rositaflorecita9647 I think what might be causing the problem is that your sliced offset is set to Print then Cut. Before you slice it from the rectangle, change the Operation of the offset to Cut, Basic. Then slice that from the rectangle.

Is it necessary to create the sliver that is removed around the flower design? Preparing to make place cards for my niece's wedding ;-)
@thenoncraftycrafter6 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s necessary. It’s the only way to make the cut line to make the pop up. Design Space doesn’t have a way of making non straight cut lines unfortnately.

Thanks. 😊 It was from an older Graphic 45 paper pad called Sweet Sentiments. Not sure if it’s still available as it’s about 10 years old.

I want to join your group! But please tell me where to get the embossing machine. Thank you!
@thenoncraftycrafter7 ай бұрын
There are many different embossing machines available. Here are some options from scrapbook .com. shrsl.com/4kel0 # ad. Look for one that has at least a 6" wide opening so you can use larger embossing folders.

Can you store it?
@thenoncraftycrafter9 ай бұрын
You can put it in an airtight container and it will last a short time. But it doesn’t store well long term. It dries out faster than the store bought products.

Thank you so much for sharing this information! You are definitely my new favorite "teacher". I'm new to the Cricut world and find most videos assume we are all knowledgeable in design space. While I'm an expert with Microsoft office suite, I find Design Space a bit challenging. (Especially while trying to learn new skills with a rambunctious five year old by my side!) Your video is smooth, to the point, and no unnecessary introduction or babbling just to fill in the gaps. Also no annoying music blaring. I've learned so much here in under 20 minutes that I now have a new outlook on how far I'm willing to expand my Cricut knowledge. Thank you so much!
