Is it necessary to create the sliver that is removed around the flower design? Preparing to make place cards for my niece's wedding ;-)

Yes, it’s necessary. It’s the only way to make the cut line to make the pop up. Design Space doesn’t have a way of making non straight cut lines unfortnately.
