I’m thinking of getting my valve springs done later down the line, but other than the cams needing to be upgraded for extra wear, what other components wear out faster and need to be replaced when those 2 things are done?

2 Step and Launch control are honestly the same thing, just different terms for it. The launch control holds a fixed RPM for you and it will also build some boost! Now I know in some cases 2 step will use ignition cutting which makes super loud pops and bangs, even fire but that's hard on engines. Its far better to control the cut rpm with fueling and then using some fixed ignition retard to make boost. It will accomplish the same thing with less stress on the engine.

I heard these cause check engine because of the increased airflow the computer doesn't adapt? Also, no before after back to back dyno runs, so spending $ for what again? If no cel and power improvements, well, then looks pretty cool. Otherwise.......

The carbon fiber material looks great but the weight saving is really negligible relative to the overall weight of the car. That said, why not make the assembly out of plastic and reduce the unit price?

Theres been testing with the gr intake lately and it gained 10whp. Testing was also done with several other intakes and the power was nowhere near it. I am guessing this one will be matching or beating the GR with those air ducts Price will probably be insane though..

How will the clutch hold up and any valve float issues. Looking to do the same thing

@@mhk67091 We have not had any issues with the stock clutch on our track GRC or our tuners track GRC. Valve float only becomes an issue over 330whp so we would keep you well below the limit on the OEM valve springs unless you provide proof of upgrade.

Cool design but $1600 for an air intake? But seems like everything for a Toyota is stupid high priced. $5-6k for a stand alone ecu is just dumb. Paid $1200 for a Haltech standalone for my s2k. The Corolla gr will be my next daily driver but only mods I’ll be doing is turbo back exhaust and a kn filter on oem air box and tune with ecutek.

Ecutek doesn’t allow for tuning out car codes but there’s a tuner in Canada called AMT that can clear the codes

I think this is most aesethetically pleasing exhaust. AWE makes incredible products. In the case of the GRC, however, the AWE exhausts seem a bit blatty and bassy to my ears as compared to APEXi and HKS catbacks. Some of that quasi-inline 6 sound is missing here. That's my ears, though. Still sounds good, just wouldn't be my first choice on this platform.

We did not post numbers due to the car having other mods/tune. We did not want confusion about added power. AWE has posted numbers on a 100% stock car.

*READ THIS IF YOU ARE INSTALLING THIS INTAKE* This video gets the vacuum connections completely swapped at 8:40 in the video. He tells you to put the cap on the outer one, and the hose on the inner one. This is wrong. The cap goes on the inside, and the hose on the outside. I followed this video completely and my car was not working properly after install, 4-5 second turbo lag, very jumpy boost, check engine light on, car was basically undrivable. I did research and realized the INNER connection was previously connected to the valve on the stock intake, and that’s the one you’re supposed to cap off. Also, make sure you secure the solenoid itself, don’t just leave it hanging around. You can use a large washer to bolt it onto the eventuri intake legs, or you can zip tie it tight to something, just secure it completely. Honestly crazy that Limit+1 makes such an obvious mistake in this video. Hope it’s corrected so others aren’t misled like I was.

Do you have to keep the oem airbox actuator connected to a vacuum line, or can you just cap it at the T fitting that sits on the intake pipe? I capped mine at the hose T fitting and the actuator plugged in without any vac lines running to it.

I saw speed industries did the same thing. Capping at the t fitting and removing the actuator vacuum line. Is your car running fine that way?

@@jdub1320 yep. I’m tuned with ecutek now and the only thing I get is a “circuit open” code from having the actuator removed. Doesn’t affect the car at all and no lights .
