Back in the day in Hollyweird over there on Whitley Ave from midnight to 5a.m. I used to teach kungfu at the building next to where Chris lived. He would hang out with us. We became familiar enough to when he’d ask me to walk with him to Tommy burgers at like 3 in the morning. When he broke his finger he gave me a pack of guitar strings to reset it. He taught me a couple things about guitar. Yep I played that yellow guitar. The action on that axe was the best I ever felt. Maybe one day I’ll write that book and include the adventures of those crazy times when Chris was hanging out. Stay tuned🤙

In the '80's Heavy Metal was great , had great bands, great shows and badass Chris Holmes and he destroyed everyone. Still my favorite heavy Metal guitarist ever . This song jams and so does the album

HI Chris! I just bagged on your Ex. You were sitting next to me at the bar @ Sunset in Sierra Madre when Terry K. comes ups and grabs my one & only Vodka on the Rocks. That was only about 40 years ago. You seem to have come through (even publicized) Love and blow & alcohol much better than Me. I had to bail up North here to spend 12 months in a program on the State Hospital Grounds.... so for me now no blow no alcohol. THEY say you have to give everything up, but I held onto LIVE MUSIC, & here am getting energized by an old friend. FYI you were the Best Part of Decline..The Metal Years...I'm laughing now you in that inner tube...there but for the Intervention of God, go I. Love the Spirit in you Solo music. I was unfamiliar with Chris Holmes but was watching 'The Decline of Western Civilization, part II, The Metal Years' and was watching the scene with him and his mom at the pool, and based on that, I figured this guy blew himself out. So I looked him up and lo' and behold he is still with us and is fucking killing it! The guitar track, the tone, fucking awesome!

Great song.i stand direct in front of him in 83 or84 hamburg markthalle.it was so hard for a 15 year old kid to stand his ground.it was a supershow.all the best for chris
