Y’all are fooled. It’s a motor so when it achieves the programmed balance, it locks rotor. It’s not constantly balancing. It’s locked there. Duh!

Blah. This was an assignment at Carnegie-Mellon U in 1981. I wasn't able to do it and dropped the class. It's known as the 'inverted pendulum' and they use it to keep rockets stabilizes. There are also programs that will handle 2 or 3-section i.pendula. The sections are hinged together.

Interesting…I did my undergraduate thesis on a similar phenomenon. Now if you accelerate the pivot of that inverted pendulum linearly up and down, at a certain range of frequencies, you can tap the end of the pendulum and it will swing back and forth like a regular pendulum

Не видно работы автоматики, а вдруг это не удержание баланса, а просто зажат шпиндель?)

It's funny how it swings it back and forth, when it all actuality, that wasnt needed and couldve balanced on two or less swings. All for the show baby

So as long as the arm is in perfect alignment with the 0 degree it will stop and retain that position, wether the red stick is up or down, however as soon as the red stick starts to shake it’s easier for the pendulum to swing it until it lifts it up and keeps it in place ❤
